Athletic GIA T/F
Athletic GIA Books / $498.00
$200.00 / $498.00
$200.00 / $996.00
$400.00

This award is made in accordance with the provisions of the constitutions of the NCAA and the Mountain West Conference pertaining to the principles of amateurism, sound academic standards, and financial aid to student athletes. To qualify for this financial aid, you must fulfill the admissions requirements of The University of New Mexico and meet and maintain eligibility requirements for athletics participation and financial aid. I understand that the conditions of my award are:

If I receive a Federal grant or some other scholarship or financial aid, I will notify the Student Financial Aid Office. Those funds may replace a portion of my athletics grant to meet NCAA and Conference regulations. If I am injured in practice or competition under the supervision of a member of the coaching staff, my financial aid will not be discontinued.

I am aware that the amount of this aid may be reduced or cancelled during the term of this award if:

I become ineligible for intercollegiate competition, e.g. by carrying less than 12 hours,

I give false information on my application, letter of intent, or financial aid agreement,

I engage in serious misconduct that results in disciplinary action by this institution,

I voluntarily withdraw from the sport for personal reasons.

I am aware that this aid must be reduced or cancelled if:

I sign a professional sports contract for this sport,

I accept money, which exceeds the cost of a full grant for playing in an athletics contest,

I agree to be represented by an agent,

I receive other aid that exceeds my individual limits,

My total financial aid and job-related earnings exceed the limits set by the NCAA and Mountain West Conference.
