Main purpose of job
Supporting the finance manager in the more day to day routine finance and accounts tasks.
Duties
- Supporting Finance Manager - Entering post and SP post transactions at the end of each month
- Supplier management
- Preparing local staff payroll
- Weekly cash counts
- Paying local suppliers (including writing of cheques)
- Monitoring suppliers to accept credit cards, and managing government procurement card
- Billing new staff for shopping, advances and chasing
outstanding staff payments (mobile and fuel bills) - Managing cheque signatories list
- All finance documents saved correctly including paper filing
Essential qualifications and experience
- Qualification in Accountancy and or Finance
- Ability to work in a team and strong customer focus skills
Desirable qualifications and experience
- Work experience in a similar role in any reputable institution or organisation
