Main purpose of job

Supporting the finance manager in the more day to day routine finance and accounts tasks.

Duties

  • Supporting Finance Manager - Entering post and SP post transactions at the end of each month
  • Supplier management
  • Preparing local staff payroll
  • Weekly cash counts
  • Paying local suppliers (including writing of cheques)
  • Monitoring suppliers to accept credit cards, and managing government procurement card
  • Billing new staff for shopping, advances and chasing
    outstanding staff payments (mobile and fuel bills)
  • Managing cheque signatories list
  • All finance documents saved correctly including paper filing

Essential qualifications and experience

  • Qualification in Accountancy and or Finance
  • Ability to work in a team and strong customer focus skills

Desirable qualifications and experience

  • Work experience in a similar role in any reputable institution or organisation
