Job Title:Supervising Assistant

Location:123 George Street, EdinburghEH2 4JN

Accountable to:Retail Manager

Hours Per Week: Full time – 37.5 hours per week

Salary:Negotiable, depending on experience.

Main Purpose of Job:

To assist the Retail Manager in the efficient and profitable operation of the Hadeel shop.

Toassist the Retail Manager and the Councils of Palcrafts and Hadeel in their pursuit of the aims of the organization which includes information dissemination ,educational events and displaysat Hadeel, other premises or outside events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales

Consistently provide the highest level of service to allcustomers including telephone and online enquiries.

Maintaina retail customer environment conducive to sales

Timely processing of orders from wholesale and online clients

Identification of potential areas to increase client base

Online

Provision of a complete online shopping experience

Maintain accuracy and security of all online information

Outside Events & National Representatives

Provision of required stock and promotional material

Provision of ongoing support as appropriate

  • Staff

Supervision of retail employees and volunteers with a high level of commitment to teamwork at all timesunder the direction of and in the absence of Retail Manager

Active encouragement of creativity, motivation and ongoing development ofall staff

  • Stock

Maintenance of adequate stock levels reporting shortages and opportunities to Retail Manager

Accurate delivery processing of stock received

  • Financial

Routine workload relating to sales income and petty cash including cashing up and banking

Awareness of sales trends, challenges and opportunities

  • Customer & Supplier Relationship:

Promotion of the ethos and activities of Hadeel in all communication including social media

Maintain and build relationships with all current and prospectivecustomer and clients

  • Legal Compliance:

Ensure all Health & Safety, Fire and Trading Standards policies are followed at all times

Ensure Data Protection policy is maintained and updated in all area of the business

  • Communication

Report on all areas of business to Retail Manager on a regular basis

Actively participate inregular staff and volunteer meetings

  • Systems Management:

Ensure all IT and manual system procedures are followed at all times

Ensure local security procedures are followed at all times

  • Any other reasonable duties required by the Retail Manager or Council of Hadeel to meet the ongoing needs of the business.
