Reading: Jack and the Wolf (pgs. 14-28)
Skills: Double final consonant words (hiss, doll, and egg) and words that end with ck (quack, lock, sock); short a words( an, bad, can had ,cat);ABC order; describe characters in a story and their reasons for their actions and feelings; identify complete sentences (The cat is furry.) from an incomplete sentence (The cat).
Math: Addition- Adding numbers in any order (7+8=15, 8+7=15); Adding doubles (7+7=14, 8+8=16);
Science: Earth Science

Social Studies: Unit 2 Good Citizens (pgs. 52-58)
Map Skills: Find States on a Map: A country is an area of land with its own people and laws. Our country is in the United States of America. The United States of America is made up of 50 states. A state is one part of our country. On a map, lines are called borders. A border shows where a state or country ends.
Lesson 3: Our Country’s Presidents- The President is the leader of our country. Much of the President’s work is done in the White House. This is also where the President lives. George Washington was the first President of the United States of America. The Constitution is the plan for our country’s government. Every four years Americans chose who will be the next President.
Music: First graders will review known repertoire and analyze the songs by breaking themdown into simple musical elements andmanipulating icons on a felt board to show it(one sound on a beat vs. two sounds on a beat, higher so vs. lower mi).
PE: The students will be learning how to play whiffle ball.
