February 25, 2009

Dear Parents:

Please allow us to take this opportunity to thank the students and parents who participated in last year’s LAUSD Sharing Brings Hope Consolidated Charitable Campaign. Parents, students, faculty, and administrators of LAUSD raised over one million dollars for our community. Last year, contributions from the Student (and family) Donation Envelopes, like the one sent home with your child, totaled over $360,000.

On behalf of our children and communities and the continuing tradition of the Knollwood School spirit, we are asking for your support for the 2009 Sharing Brings Hope Campaign. This year’s campaign continues to consolidate all our District’s fundraising efforts to a single annual appeal. All of the charities listed below are licensed and effective charitable organizations and your support funds any or all of these twelve hardworking agencies. This year’s campaign will run from February 25th to March 6th.

The Consolidated Charitable Campaign supports over 400 local agencies by helping fund scholarship, social service, health, and environmental programs throughout the greater Los Angeles area. Please consider giving to the charity of your choice. No amount is too small because together, sharing truly brings hope.

Again, thank you to everyone who gave in last year’s campaign. Your gifts helped to make a significant difference in thousands of people’s lives. By working together, we can make our community a better place to live for everyone.
