4.1 / FINANCE AND TRANSPORT
Finance- main income was from Dinner Dance tickets. CM is currently looking into opening a Treasurer's Account (information attached with Minutes). GQ to speak to CM re setting this account up. The Committee agreed to put £10,000 into this Account.

5 / FAIRMUIR CLUB
There are currently 30 participants on the book with 20-22 attending regularly. Nintendo Wii was introduced and to club and was really successful. There are four new clients - three are wheelchair users. Polybat has been introduced to these clients. More people are now active.

6.2 / COMPETITIONS AND EVENTS
Fun In AthleticsTasters - Thu 4 and Thu 11 Feb 09 at Douglas Sports Centre. Over 80 children attended from Dundee schools. It is hoped to select participants for the Final in Mar 09 however it may not be possible to meet the criteria.
National Carpet Bowls Championships - Sat 7 Feb 09 at DISC. Thanks to BW who took photos and MK who served teas. GordonMcCormack felt the event was well organised and there is now a possibility it will be run in Dundee in future years. GQ stressed that more assistance is needed from Committee members to move and lay carpets as it took five days to do this. It was unfortunate that Committee members were not available to hand out certificates on the day.

6.4 / SportSability - Wed 18 Mar 09 at NorthernCollege- this is a funday for primary school children with a disability.
Fun In Athletics Final - Wed 11 Mar 09 at Grangemouth. MK offered to assist if required. Attendance will depend on meeting the criteria.

8.2 / DISABILITY SPORTS DEVELOPMENT
Action Plans - these should be finalised by Fri 20 Mar 09. GQ will bring a set of Plans to the next meeting.
Disability Awareness Training - this was attended by senior pupils from St Paul's (19), St John's (21) and Baldragon (5). It is hoped that lunchtime clubs will be run. Baldragon club starts on Thu 5 Mar 09 until April holidays. Fairmuir Club will be advertised to the participants. / GQ / 31/03/09

11.1 / AFFILIATED CLUBS FEEDBACK
Boccia Club - six athletes participated in the competition in Easterhouse. Four medals were won - two Gold, one Silver and one Bronze.

11.3 / Curling –there are 9 participants attending each week. GF has received enquiries from RCCC and several nursing homes.
DPA Powerlifting– training for Scottish National Championships in Livingstone on Sat 21 Mar 09. Younger athletes will compete in this event and the older athletes will compete in the Push and Pull Competition.

11.5 / Swimming –Regional Swimming Championships taking place on Sat 28Mar 09 in Perth.
SOMA - reminder that this takes place on the last Sat of every month at Douglas Sports Centre.

Meetings - the next meeting will take place on Wed 18 Mar 09.
SALSC Conference–GF is attending this event over weekend of Fri 27Feb-Sun 1 Mar 09. This is a great opportunity to network and find out what other Councils are involved in.

Letter re attendance - there was detailed discussion re the letter. Roles and responsibilities need to be discussed further.
Scottish Disability Sport - Minimum Operating Regulations - DCDS has not formally adopted some Sports Development Section policies. Any changes to Constitution need to be put in writing 28 days in advance. Members to think about it was has been discussed. Ruaraidh Davidson will be attending the next meeting to discuss the Regulations.
Change to Meetings –Councillor Duncan suggested looking at the possibility of putting certain items of the Agenda into report form. This would reduce the length of the meeting considerably.
