As coaches, we all long for the opportunity to get to the State Tournament, and that is exactly where Mike took this team—right to the top. They ended their season with a 21-3-1 record.

They beat J-T in the Section V game, winning in a shoot out to advance to the play down match up where they defeated Andover.

They traveled to Wilson and beat a feisty North Collins team 2-0 in the Far West Regional game.

They were then off to Oneonta to defeat Laurens 4-2 in the semis before they lost to Chazy 1-0 in the finals. GVCS was awarded the sportsmanship award for the tournament.
