Class will reread Decodable Book 3 stories, “Sid” and “Tim and Pip.”
1. Students will practice story words (help, now, play, too, want) and sentences containing story words on textbook pg. 72-73.
2. Class will discuss story genre: fantasy—pg. 74.
3. Class will read the story, “Jack and Rick” pg. 75-87 and teacher will ask guided comprehension questions from teacher’s guide same pages.
4. Think and Respond questions---teacher’s guide and textbook pg. 88
5. Meet the Author/Illustrator—teacher’s guide and textbook pg. 89.
