RESULTS from Saturday 25th June 2005

U6 RED vs Greystanes Churches Blue 12 – 0

The boys played very well today in the rain. A lot of improvement today for Lazar and Declan. Declan earned player of the match, running around non stop, good work Declan.

Goal scorers – Bilal Abdul Hamid 5, Rusheel Raj 4, Jobby Woetai 3

U6 WHITE vs OLQP Falcons 0 – 12

A tough game for the U6 whites today as OLQP are a good side. Well done for the win OLQP. We all had fun, well done. Jayden Kastrounis and Jack Kennan played great games. Well done to Harrison Castles in goal.

U7 RED vs Greystanes Churches 5 – 1

A very comprehensive victory by the Reds today. All players marked well ensuring Greystanes had little time with the ball. James played well in the sweeping position also scoring well. Both Ahmed and Rachid scored good goals.

Goal Scorers – James Elliott 3, Ahmed Dbouk 1, Rachid Howchar 1

U7 WHITE vs St Michaels Baulkham Hills H 10 - 0

The lads came back this week, looking for a win. Great passing and attacking plays resulting in goals. Big improvements from Mitchell and Todd, with Reece and Aiden attacking up front. Man of the match Samuel Killick.

Goal scorers – Reece Osland 5, Aiden Beehag 3, Matthew Gould 1, Samuel Killick 1

U7 BLACK vs Blacktown Reformed 1 – 6

Another great game. The weather was tough, we spent most of the time slipping and sliding rather than chasing the ball. A great goal from a free kick. Some good passing and shots at goal.

Goal scorer – Fred Maroun 1

U8 vs St Michaels Baulkham Hills W 0 - 0

Another Saturday, another nil all draw. We have a terrific defence and our halves are really improving. Our goal finishing needs plenty of work however. Jalal was man of the match today, he never stopped trying and had a fine game in defence. It was a near thing for Jalal as Joey and Shayan were also terrific today. Joey played well at training and brought that to the game with him and Shayan keeps popping up and getting the ball.

U9 vs Coverdale Christian School 4 – 0

The team were challenged to play in the rain but once going both sides worked hard. The McCredie forwards and centres took a little time to get used to the conditions and the defence again closed ranks to protect our goal. Well done Zac, Jesse, Ben, Jacob and Toby. The forwards mastered the conditions and had many fine shots at goal. Well done Tony, Jackson, Ahmed, Jeremy, Abobaker and especially Reece from the under 7s, you worked as a team and passed the ball. The team wins MVP for playing and supporting each other in the inclement weather.

Goal scorers – Tony Lo 2, Ahmed Momaud 2

U10 vs St Michaels Baulkham Hills 1 – 0

What a game, what a build up. The two number one teams battling it out to be outright leaders. St Michaels have one of the best defences and passing games in the comp. Guildford were ready for a hard game. Every time St Michaels made a bust up the side, Daniel, Johnny and Joshua had them covered. If they did get near our goals, Yonja just stayed with them until she retrieved the ball. For her outstanding efforts in defence and in nullifying St Michaels attack,

Yonja received the MVP. George, Mark and Emmanual made sure that the ball went the way we wanted. St Michaels tried big kicks and little kicks but our team was everywhere. Their persistence paid off and we went up one nil, thanks to Junior’s pass to Jason who scored. In the second half it was a slog fest. Our defence held solid and we were unlucky not to score, with the ball hitting the back of the net, but we were offside. Well done guys, keep the good work up, you little champions.

Goal scorer – Jason Youssef 1

U11 vs Wentworthville Uniting 1 - 1

It was tough to play in the rain. The guys put all their efforts into the game but at the end it was a 1-1 draw. Better luck next time but still we got the one we needed.

Goal scorer – Mohammed Hassanpour 1

U12 vs Carlingford Uniting 8 – 0

A game where we dominated and didn’t give Carlingford a sniff. Given a bit of space we ran through their defence. Our midfield of Steven, Anthony and Matina were good setting up chances for our strikers. Robbie and Dale were strong for their halves in defence showing that goalkeeping is not their only skill. Matina was player of the match for her efforts in the midfield.

Goal scorers – Mustafa Nazary 3, Amarvir Singh 3, Nathan Borg 1, Kyle Sharwood 1

U12 Knockout vs Wentworthville Uniting 6 – 2

Having only ten players and being down 1-2 at half time it wasn’t looking good and we knew we had to lift. And lift we did. Wenty didn’t know what hit them in the second half with everyone pushing themselves to their limit. Amarvir, Mustafa and Nathan were inspirational putting the opposition under pressure and getting to 50/50 balls first. Sarkis was welcomed back to the goalscorers circle after a short drought and we hope to see more. Well played, play like this every week and you will be unstoppable.

Goal scorers – Sarkis Moujalli 2, Mustafa Nazary 2, Amarvir Singh 1, own goal 1

U13 vs Greystanes Churches Blue 2 – 1

Great effort boys. We controlled the game for 50 minutes, just couldn’t finish them off. Chris was our player of the match for a terrific game. Goal scorers – Pierre Mereb 1, Francisco Sanabria 1

U13 Knockout vs Greystanes Churches Maroon 0 - 2

How good was this? We only had an hour and 15 minutes break. In that time we had to get over to Lidcombe for this knockout game. 9 players in the first half finishing with ten in the second. Drawing the top side first game. As a coach these efforts are what you work for. I am really proud you. This side has beaten us 10 – 1 and 6 – 0. I changed our whole game for this game and everybody responded really well. This agem wasn’t about the result, it was about getting some real confidence going. We have now achieved this. Player of the match was the TEAM.

U14 vs St Michaels Baulkham Hills 2 - 2

Ten players today including 2 under 8s and an under 9. And it’s lucky we had them as Tony from the under 9s opened the scoring and Wil from the 8s put the through ball through for the equalising goal. Dylan fired up, he wasn’t going to relinquish our undefeated record. Toufic played three positions at the back and didn’t make a mistake. Tremendous. Caner slipped and slid his way to numerous opportunities finally bagging the equalising goal. But it was Ahmed who rose tallest. Powerful running, intelligent distribution and the control to wait in defence just long enough before timing his run forward. Very impressive, mature play. To the guys who didn’t turn up, you owe the team an apology. Only Emad rang in sick.

Goal scorers – Caner Temel 1, Tony Lo 1

U16 RED vs St Matthews Baulkham Hills 6 – 1

Great improvement on last week’s game, the passing and team work was superb. Keep it up.

Goal scorers – Nathan Cross 2, Jasvinn Singh 1, Abbos Ahmedov 1, Mahyar Jehyi 1, Jaweed Rezayee 1

U16 RED Knockout vs Lidcombe Churches 3 – 0

We did it! After 6 years we finally beat Lidcombe in a knockout game. Thankyou to those 10 players who braved the wet, wintery weather. Your team work was fantastic. Goal scorers – Jasvinn Singh 2, Nathan Cross 1.

U16 WHITE vs Blacktown Reformed 0 - 1

A pretty bad game. We had plenty of chances and they had very few.

U16 WHITE Knockout vs Lidcombe Churches (15) 11 - 0

RC North RESERVES vs Greystanes Churches 2 - 0

Another solid performance with Bobby finishing off a couple of nice goals. John played very well in the midfield combining well with Carlos. Ricardo continues to play well at the back and Wiggers showed tremendous team spirit jumping into goals and directing the team from the back in the second half. Well done guys.

Goal scorers – Bobby Sugarevski 2

RC North FIRSTS vs Greystanes Churches 2 - 1

Injuries and an overseas trip left us short on regular first graders today but with two goals up after ten minutes and another ball a foot and a half over the goal line, between the posts, we were cruising. Unfortunately the two guys that count the most didn’t see the ball cross the line, the momentum turned, some disgruntled McCredie guys scored colourful cards and when they were subsequently subbed it was a different game all of a sudden. In the end we held on for a gutsy result.

Goal scorer – Greg Wark 2

RC 1 RESERVES vs Arncliffe Presbyterian 1 – 2

After two weeks off, the effort was still their, but the execution was poor. A brave effort by Ashley in the backs. He got to know the ground very well. The forwards need to take the few chances which are presented to them during the game. We might have lost the game but there is still a smile on our faces. Well done boys.

Goal scorer – Raf Arsenian 1

RC 1 FIRSTS vs Arncliffe Presbyterian 7 – 1

We played well today. Thank goodness we had an experienced and strong referee. Arncliffe tried to be physical and the referee was spot on with most decisions. As Arncliffe self destructed we started to play good soccer and we all had loads of fun. First half was our best for a long time. Good games by Big John, Iain and Kari.

Goal scorers – John Donnelly 4, Kari Bergsson 1, Kris Dimeck 1, Sindri Bergsson 1

RC 1 FIRSTS STATE CUP vs Blacktown Reformed 0 – 3

Blacktown are a very good team. They pushed the ball around and controlled the ball. At half time we were 3 – 0 down. Second half we decided to put our passes together and we were unlucky not to score. Good games by both Raf and Joe from the reserves and both Steve and Michael in the backs.
