There will be three workshops, two on Friday, February 26th, and one on Saturday, February 27th.

Friday, February 26th


Elementary, Morning Session 8:30 am to 11:30 am:

This session will teach fool-proof watercolor techniques that will work in any art room. The focus will be the abstract application of paint to the surface of the paper, as well as several techniques for adding texture to your watercolor paintings. This session will also include many wet-on-wet techniques. Art Teachers will leave the workshop with a finished painting, and skills that they will be able to use immediately in their classrooms.

Secondary, Afternoon Session 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm:

This session will teach fool-proof watercolor techniques that will work in any art room. The afternoon workshop will focus on simple Oklahoma landscapes highlighting back, middle and foregrounds. Teachers will learn to develop paintings with details, and several different methods to resolve landscapes. This session will also include many wet-on-wet techniques. Art Teachers will leave the workshop with a finished painting, and skills that they will be able to use immediately in their classrooms.

Saturday, February 27th


All Teachers, Morning Session 8:30 am to 11:30 am:

This session will teach fool-proof watercolor techniques that will work in any art room. The Saturday session is open to all grade levels, and will once again highlight wet-on-wet techniques. Each teacher will learn to paint foliage, adding abstract elements and details. Several lifting methods will be demonstrated. Teachers will learn how to use negative space in their paintings, along with how to manipulate your brush. Teachers will leave the workshop with a finished painting, and skills that they will be able to use immediately in their classrooms.
