Bylaw to Regulate and Establish Waste Disposal Rates for Landfill

A Bylaw of the Town of Coronach being a Bylaw to Regulate and Establish Rates for the Disposal of Wastes in the Town Waste Disposal Grounds

The Council of the Town of Coronach, in the Province of Saskatchewan, under the authority of the Urban Municipality Act, 1984 enacts as follows:

  1. Bylaw No. 6 of 2004, A Bylaw of the Village of Coronach to establish and regulate a Waste Disposal Grounds is hereby amended as follows:
  1. Waste Disposal Grounds Dumping Rates:

Furniture (couch, recliner, mattress, box spring) / $20.00 per piece
Large Appliances (Stoves, washer, dryer, water softeners, furnaces, water heaters, BBQ’s) / $25.00 per piece
Demolition Material;
Half ton truck or Utility Trailer
Half ton truck with sides or Utility Trailer with sides
One ton truck
Three ton truck / $100.00

Refrigeration Appliances (Fridges, Freezers, Air Conditioners) / $30.00 per piece
Scrap Metals / $5.00 per piece/item
Shingles per ½ ton truck or utility trailer / $100.00
Shingles per 1 ton truck or Utility trailer with sides / $160.00
Small Appliances (range hoods, fans, microwaves, convection ovens, Leaf blowers, sewing machines, coffee makers, non-metal sinks, toilets, Water dispensers, vacuums, air cleaners, deep fryers etc.) / $10.00 per piece
Trees, branches, garden waste in paper or compostable bags / FREE
Untreated & unpainted wood products / FREE
**Compost/garden waste left in non-compostable bags / $20.00
  1. Materials that are not allowed:
  • Any Material that can be recycled at Sarcan Services
  • Animal Carcasses
  • Antifreeze/Antifreeze Containers
  • Asbestos
  • Asphalt
  • ATV Bodies, Garden Tractor Bodies, Motorcycles and Snowmobiles
  • Batteries
  • Concrete
  • Fuel Tanks
  • Grain and Grain Bags
  • Granaries
  • Household waste in 32 Gallon or smaller bags
  • Hazardous Waste (includes but not limited to herbicides, noxious chemicals, lubricants, oil based paints and containers holding these materials)
  • Liquid Domestic Waste
  • Propane Bottles
  • Pesticide Containers
  • Railroad Ties
  • Vehicle Bodies
  • Used Oil, Oil Filters and Containers (take to Town Shop Drop off location)
  • Contaminated Soil

4. This bylaw shall come into force and take effect on the July 12, 2017.
