Zebra Printer Setup Instructions

  1. Download the Zebra Setup Utility from
  2. Install the Zebra Setup Utility and accept the defaults
  3. Run the Zebra Setup Utility

Configure the Zebra Printer for Wireless

Preparation

  1. Connect the zebra printer to the computer you will be running the zebra setup utility on with the USB cable.
  2. Power on the Zebra printer

Run the Zebra Setup Utility

Select the printer that has “ZPL USB001” in the name

Click the button “Configure Printer Connectivity”

Select the Wireless options and click “Next”

Select the Static option

Enter the IP Address, Subnet Mask, and Default gateway values

These values will look like the following:

Subnet mask: 255.255.255.224
Default gateway: 172.29.131.1
The IP Address you would enter is the last number of the default gateway plus 28. So, if the default gateway is 172.29.131.1, then the IP Address you would enter is 172.29.131.29

If you already have setup a printer using the above method before, then add by 27 (decrease by 1 for each new printer setup using this method).

Click Next

Leave Band at the default value of 802.11 a/b/g/n (2.4 GHz / 5 GHz)

Click Next

Leave WLAN Country as Other

Leave Channel list (optional) as blank

Click Next

ESSID should be vdown

Security mode should be WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK

Click Next

For PSK Type choose String

Enter the following as the value for PSK name

Click Next

Click Finish

The printer will cycle power and after a few minutes, the far-right light should be lit green.

Click Configure Printer Settings

Change the Width and Height to 1 inch

Click Finish

Click Open Printer Tools

First, make sure that the 1 inch labels are properly inserted into the
