·  Assessments / 70%
o  Tests
o  Quizzes
·  Assignments / 30%
o  Labs
o  Homework

Make-Up Policy:

Students will be permitted to make up all work that was missed due to excused absences on their first date of returning to school. It will be the sole responsibility of the student to obtain the missed work. If a student were to miss an assessment, then an assessment that will be different from the original will be given. All late work will be given a deadline date as told by the teacher, any work handed in past this date will not be given credit.

Retake Policy:

As per school policy, one assessment may be retaken per quarter with a maximum possible grade of 75%. Students must notify the teacher via email or in writing with further details being relayed by the teacher for date of retake. If the student fails to notify the teacher by the required deadline to sign-up for the assessment, the student will miss the opportunity for that quarter. The retake assessment will cover the same content from the unit but will be a different assessment. In the unfortunate event that the retake grade is lower than the original, the higher grade will remain in the gradebook.
