Economic Development for Central Oregon’s(EDCO) mission is to create a diversified local economy with a strong base of employment at all levels by supporting the businesses that call the tri-county region home as well as helping new enterprises take root. Both externally and internally, we pride ourselves on being responsive, fiscally responsible, fun, and down-to-earth, just like this amazing place we call home. We let the economists study the economy; keeping our focus on a boots-on-the-ground approach to improve our regional economy. We want our stakeholders to appreciate the ripple effect our efforts have on our regional economy, and to fully understand the wealth of tangible and intrinsic benefits EDCO offers its members. With that in mind, we are creating a new role for a Director of Membership. This entrepreneurial-minded person will define and execute a fresh strategy for drawing and retaining vibrant businesses to our membership. We are invested, both professionally and personally, in fostering the growth of our local economy, ensuring the realization of ourvision for a region that is capable of providing meaningful work and gainful employment for the next generation - . Our new Director of Membership will be given latitude to define the structure and direction of this new and impactful role.

- You are recognized by your internal peers, our board of directors and our members for “putting gas in the tank of our organization” by driving more than $100,000 in new net revenue in your first 12 months.
- You have welcomed more than 75 new members and are well on your way to attracting more than 200 new members within the first 24 months.
- Through your efforts to educate and support our already thriving base of membership, our attrition rate has dropped by 50% in your first 12 months.
- You have tapped an already valuable resource of connected, smart and forward-thinking board members who are ready to offer expertise and encouragement to other businesses as they navigate the economic landscape in Central Oregon.
- You are an integral part of our team and have fully embraced our “all hands on deck” culture.
- Your keen ability to identify, evaluate and engage new business people has energized our organization on every level.

- The support you have given our six offices throughout the region have strengthened their relationships with their local stakeholders.

- In collaboration with our Director of Events, and with the engagement from both new and current members has resulted in a 10% increase in net revenue for EDCO.
Are you ready for an incredible opportunity with EDCO in one of America’s most dynamic and entrepreneurial towns?You have:
- At least 5 years of experiencebuilding a membership or a client base.
- A Bachelor’s Degree ispreferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs including PowerPoint.
- Experience with any of the following platforms: ACT!, Salesforce, Executive Pulse or similar CRM systems.
- Diligence tracking leads, prospects and members utilizing a CRM, and have the ability to quickly learn and use our new CRM, Executive Pulse.
- A strong work ethic and attributes including humility, dedication, accountability, respectfulness and dependability along with a reputation for planning, implementing and executing from start to finish.
- A gift for warm, thoughtful and straightforward communication, both written and verbal.
- A knowledge of social media, and communicate with friends and colleagues via LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter.
- Enthusiasm for all things local, and a desire to make a difference through your contributions to our community.
- A knack for business math to track membership metrics.
- An innate chameleon-like talent and an ability to quietly and appropriately shift to the needs of your audience.
- Charismatic presentations skills, and may even shine brighter in smaller groups of people rather than in large forums.
- Great relationships with Central Oregon businesses and our community, and have an insider’s knowledge of the area.
