Section C: Our School Business Experience
1. Here is a brief description of the school business we ran before/are currently running, including the products/services we sold/are selling.
As part of last year's enterprise challenge our colleagues ran a small school business selling fresh juice and milkshakes in the name of Fruits and Shakes,
and we sold waffles; however we had only 1 waffle maker which wasn’t enough to cater to our customers and also at first we had problems raising finance but after sale and reinvesting our profit things got better.
we made a lot of profit but our colleagues won one of the top ten.
Section D: Our Resources
2. Considering our school’s physical resources, skills and location, these are the resources available at our school we can use to develop our business:
Our Resources in our environment that would support
Our business project
1) Large Spaces: Our school have large places which our project can be designated in with many facilities such as slideshow, smart boards, and a large stage. And we also have many basic facilities which they are tables and chairs.
2) The process of helping supported by the school teachers: Our school teachers are cooperative in which they can help us lead the students to the correct way and so our work can be neat an including the school rules, and we may have their help in our project. We can also have the help of the stage organiser, tables and chairs organiser, and the principal.
Section E: Brainstorming Business Ideas
3.a) These are the five business ideas we thought of when brainstorming a new idea or a way of diversifying or growing the existing one:
1. Oat meal balls
2. Brownies
3. Events planning
4. Handmade giveaways
5. Hot drinks
b) The business we chose for our Silver Award is: Oat meal balls
And these are 3 reasons why we chose this idea:
1 Little competition
2 Healthy and yummy
3 Easy to prepare
4.Our final Business Idea will be sustainable and have a positive impact on the environment and our community because:
1 We will contribute to helping less privileged though purchasing our materials from them
2 Use of recycled paper bags which is better for the environment
3 We will follow a restricted policy regarding using energy and water
4 All of our products will be free of artificial flavours
Section F: Financing our growth and development
5. Here is a description of how we are planning to finance our business, including how we are going to raise the money needed for our school business.
