Mastiff Puppy Deposit Agreement

Thank you for choosing to purchase a puppy from Sky High Mastiffs. All Sky High mastiff puppies have been bred with the highest standards of the breed in mind, especially in regard to health and temperament. Most puppies are sold before they are old enough to go home with their new owners (a minimum of 9 weeks old). Therefore, your deposit will insure you of a puppy from the litter whelped in February of 2014 from the breeding of

A minimum deposit of $250 is required to reserve a puppy, which will be applied to the purchase price of $2500.00 Deposit must be paid with a certified cashiers check, money order, or cash. The balance of the purchase price (also to be paid by certified cashiers check, money order, or cash) is due upon completion of the sale and transfer of the puppies AKC papers to the new owners. The deposit is non-refundable, and shall be forfeited if the sale of the puppy is not completed; or buyer may choose for the deposit to be retained by Sky High Mastiffs towards a future puppy from another litter bred by Sky High Mastiffs. Your deposit expresses your seriousness and commitment to ownership of a Sky High Mastiff. For this litter only deposit will only be refundable if no litter is conceived, not if buyer changes mind.

Before you place a deposit, please take the following terms and conditions into consideration:

  1. Sky High Mastiffs will accept verbal and/or email confirmation of the desire to place a deposit from the buyers. However, the monetary deposit and a signed copy of this deposit agreement must be received within 72 hours. Failure to produce your deposit within this time period could result in the loss of the opportunity to purchase a puppy from this litter.
  1. As mentioned above, the deposit is non-refundable except for being transferable to a puppy from other future litters bred by Sky High Mastiffs. While holding a puppy until it is old enough to place with the buyers, Sky High Mastiffs will pass by many other eligible and qualified buyers. Changing your mind after placing your deposit is not an acceptable reason for refund.
  1. Sky High Mastiffs reserves puppies on a combination of show-contract/pet-contract and first-come/first-serve basis. Buyers wanting to show their puppy in qualified AKC confirmation events will have priority in picking their puppy; however this requires the signing of a Full Registration and Show Agreement that requires the buyers to show the puppy and seek an AKC Championship title. Sky High Mastiffs will only allow those puppies without significant confirmation faults to be selected by show-contract buyers. Puppies sold to pet-contract buyers are sold on Limited Registration basis, which means that the puppy cannot be bred. Within these groupings, if you place the first deposit, you have the first pick from the available puppies. Verbal and/or email confirmation of the desire to place a deposit counts as long as the monetary deposit and signed deposit agreement are received within 72 hours. The available puppies does not include the puppy (or puppies) reserved by the breeder (and/or co-breeder). Please feel free to call us to discuss the number of available puppies. The puppy (or puppies) selected by the breeder (and/or co-breeder) may not be known until the puppies are a minimum of 8 weeks old.
  2. The option to pick a puppy based on time of deposit is a privilege and not a right. The key to success with this method is that you are available to select and pick up your puppy when scheduled. Sky High Mastiffs can provide you with a tentative time to come, select, and pick up your puppy when you make your deposit. Selection can be made over the phone if you wish based upon pictures of the puppies or other criteria. Please realize however, that if you fail to adhere to a scheduled time to select your puppy, other buyers will be impacted by being prevented from coming to select and pick up their puppies. Sky High Mastiffs reserves the right to pick your puppy for you in such situations. We strive to be as fair and accommodating as possible.I/We, the prospective buyer(s) of a Sky High Mastiff puppy, have read and understood this document in its entirety, and agree to the terms and conditions set forth herein. I/We have also been provided with a copy of the appropriate sales agreement, and thus are aware of the conditions of the sale and will honor said agreement by signing and initializing all parts of said agreement upon closing of this sale. If I/We do not follow through with this sale for any reason, I/We willingly forfeit the deposit or allow the deposit to be retained by Sky High Mastiffs towards the purchase of a future puppy.
