Will also explore the importance of promoting healthy social emotional development in preventing the challenging behaviors which often leads to suspension or expulsion. Included are effective program policies/procedures supporting the shift from exclusion to retention.

  1. Go to the REGISTER ONLINE FOR TRAINING link.
  2. View quarterly training opportunities.
  3. Click on the training event(s) you’d like to attend and read course details (cost, credits, course description, etc.) Make sure you read/understand all *Terms and Conditions.
  4. Create a one-time only profile.
  5. Register for one event at a time. Follow prompts to complete process, click to pay fee using your debit or credit card.
  6. YOU ARE REGISTERED! Print your receipt if needed. BHPC is not responsible for receipts.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS(Please read carefully):

ALL registrants must create an online profile to register for workshops that include a valid email and password. The program saves your profile information but not your password. Once profile has been established, you will not have to redo your profile but you will need to pay for each class using debit/credit.

Pre-registration is required for all workshops (paid & free) andmust be received 72 hours prior to event date. Registration is official ONLY after you have completed the on-line registration process with proper credit/debit card payment.

BHPC CREDIT: If you cannot attend, you must notify us at least 36 hours in advance. WE DO NOT GIVE REFUNDS. If you cancel after the 36 hour grace period, you WILL NOT receive credit, HOWEVER you mayget a substitute to take your place at the event by FIRST notifying us and paying an extra $2 surcharge beforehand. To use aBHPC CREDITfor registration you must call us at 252-975-4647, x10.

OCCASIONAL FREE TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES: Occasionally BHPC will offer FREE trainings. You MUST call our office and register for these. Please be reminded that failure to show up for any free training forfeits your chances to attend other free trainings offered until June 30th of the current year. This rule is strictly enforced.

FOR CHILD CARE STAFF EMPLOYED OUTSIDE OF REGION 2 (BEAUFORT, CRAVEN, HYDE, PAMILCO, TYRRELL, AND WASHINGTON), Please pay an additional $6 per DCDEE training and an additional $10 per CEU training.

BHPC TRAINING CANCELLATIONS AND/OR POSTPONEMENTS: Trainings are subject to cancellation or postponement within 36 hours of the training if: (1) LESS THAN 5 PARTICIPANTS ARE REGISTERED, OR (2) IN CASE OF INCLEMENT WEATHER, OR OTHER EMERGENCY CIRCUMSTANCES.

If BHPC cancels the training, credits will be issued—NOTREFUNDS.These credits must be redeemed before the end of the current training quarter, unless otherwise noted. NO EXCEPTIONS.

DUPLICATE CERTIFICATES: BHPC does not provide duplicate training certificates.

SPECIAL REQUESTS FOR ADDITIONAL TRAININGS:BHPC strives to meet the training needs of allearly educators in our counties through our quarterly training calendar. Some of ourrecurrent workshops are offered on anestablished schedule therefore, it may become necessary to adjust your schedule.It is highly recommended that individuals and/or directors meticulously monitor individual staff in-service training records. This practiceensures compliance with DCDEE regulatory guidelines. If our workshop schedule conflicts with your needs, we will gladly assist you in finding alternatives whenever feasible.

TRAINING PARTNERS: BHPC collaborates closely with our regional partners at Craven Smart Start to provide additional content staff development opportunities for you. Regional partners will always consult with us first before granting any requests forsupplementary trainings.
