Kylemore Nursery School Newsletter

Can you believe it’s almost time to start thinking about moving on!

It hardly seems a year since the children first visited. Doesn’t time fly – and look how much progress your child has made!! Please let us know as soon as you discover where your child will be moving to as we want to talk about big school in our small group times.

SAY HELLO AND WAVE GOODBYE

We welcome Kerry back this week and we have said goodbye to Pamela and wish her well.

Alison is fully recovered and will be returning to nursery on 2nd May!

Marian will return to the Red class. Roberta will finish with the Red class this Thursday and we wish her well in the future!

William will continue to cover the Blue class in the Morning and the Yellow class in the afternoon.

And finally, a big welcome to Miss Annabelle Jane Cavalleros, born on 12th April, 7lb 13 ozs – congratulations to Louise and Family!

GARDENING CLUB
All Mums Dads Carers are welcometo come and help us! See the calendar for details….
If you are digging up or thinning out any plants in your garden over the next few weeks please share cuttings with us….It will be so nice to have a bit of your garden in ours!!!
OUTDOOR PLAY

The children will hopefully spend more time outside. We would ask for your co-operation on the following points (depending on the weather…)

SUNSCREEN – please ensure every day that s/he is wearing lots of sunscreen for protection. Staff are not permitted to apply sun cream, but there will be some available in the entrance hall.

SUN HATS – we have a supply of hats in school and children may wear these but please write your child’s name clearly on his/her own hat if your child prefers to wear this.

SUITABLE FOOTWEAR – no flip flops or platforms – these can be extremely dangerous for running, climbing etc

SUITABLE CLOTHING – to ensure that your child does not get burned please send him/her wearing clothes to cover shoulders etc.

SAINSBURY’S “ACTIVE KIDS”scheme is finishing soon and we would be very grateful for any vouchers you may have. It is so sad to hear people refuse the vouchers when they are paying in store – We need every one we can get!
Please empty your bags and purses to check if you have any lurking away….
The collection box for the vouchers is available in the entrance hall. Please encourage friends and family members to donate to our school – if you know someone who has no-one else to collect vouchers for then suggest us as a worthy cause!!

It would also be helpful to have some parents to come and help count the tokens. Please speak to Agnes if you can help.

Everywhere a quack, quack
Old Macdonald had a farm ee-eye, ee-eye oh

5 Little Peas
Five little peas in a pea pod pressed,
One grew, two grew, and so did all the rest.
They grew and grew and they did not stop,
Until one day the pod went POP!
