Job Purpose

The purpose of the role is to provide operational contract and supplier performance management for current and new IT contracts and suppliers. The role holder will provide a lead role in the operational procurement, tender, delivery and monitoring of contracts and supplier performance.

Main Duties

To take ownership of contract compliance and strive to generate maximum value from contracts. You will measure supplier performance against service delivery targets and agree and monitor improvement plans with suppliers.

The candidate should have a broad IT background with exposure to infrastructure and application environments. This role operates across all functions within IT and is intended to ensure that high levels of service are provided and maintained by our third party suppliers.

Other duties include:

  • Supporting the tender process.
  • New contract negotiation.
  • Manage contract renewals and revision of service measures.
  • Develop, document and maintain a vendor, contract management process.
  • Identifying commercial or business owner for each contract.
  • Work with our legal team on contract review and sign off.
  • Ensure suppliers are meeting contractual obligations.
  • Ensure we are receiving financial value from contracts.
  • Ensure monitoring of the contracts and enforcement of any penalty clauses.
  • Ensure licensing permissions are monitored for expiry dates.
  • Attend service reviews for key suppliers to ensure progress against issues.

Experience and Qualifications Required

  • Previous experience in contract and vendor management.
  • Confident to work with/challenge senior management where necessary.
  • Experience of working in an IT environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Proven negotiation skills.
  • Strong stakeholder management experience.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Experience managing large complex suppliers.
