DREW UNIVERSITY
CENTER FOR CAREER DEVELOPMENT (CCD)

JOB BULLETIN FOR THE CLASSES OF 2014 AND 2013

LATE FEBRUARY EDITION

10 Helpful Tips:

1.  Check out these jobs: all positions are full time and open to all majors (unless otherwise specified).

2.  Log on to DrewLink at drew-csm.symplicity.com/students/ for detailed job descriptions and application procedures. If you do not yet have a DrewLink account, log on and click “Register”; enter your email address and school password, “acorn.”

3.  Focus on the posting and expiration dates. The earlier you apply, the better.

4.  Some positions need someone to start immediately; others are flexible and open to candidates only available after graduation. May 2014 grads are now just 3 months from graduation, so don’t worry about the timing: if you’re interested, apply.

5.  See our previous editions of this bulletin--available on the CCD website; log on to drew.edu/career/; some positions are still open and accepting applications; the January “Senior Bulletin” includes fellowships and domestic and international teaching opportunities.

6.  Check DrewLink regularly for additional opportunities not posted in this bulletin.

7.  Be sure to attend the “Wine and Cheese Alumni Networking” event in Mead Hall on March 20 and the Tri-Collegiate Career Fair at the College of Saint Elizabeth on March 27—great opportunities to network with alumni and recruiters!

8.  Utilize two key online resources: Career Shift (available on the CCD website) pools jobs from multiple job boards, and LinkedIn provides exposure to more than 2,700 Drew grads in the LinkedIn Drew alumni group

9.  Submit your resume to the new online Senior Resume Book, which will get your resume in front of employers seeking Drew grads; log on to DrewLink and then click “Profile,” “Edit,” “Academic Edit,” “Privacy,” and “Include in Resume Book.”

10.  Set up an appointment with a career counselor to develop a personalized job-search action plan. Then start implementing it!
