9U Baseball TournamentRules
•This tournament is open to anyone completing the 3rd grade or younger.
•Games will be 6 innings in length. A ten run rule goes into effect after the 4th inning. An eight run rule is in effect after the 5th inning.
•There is a 7 run limit per inning.
•Each team will supply 1 game ball per game. The game ball should be of sufficient quality(Wilson, Rawlings, Diamond…) No practice balls please. You will need 3 new game balls for the whole tournament.
•No leading off.
•No stealing bases.
•No advancing bases on a passed ball.
•Dropped 3rd strike is an out.
•A pitcher can pitch a maximum of 3 innings per game(1 pitch constitutes an inning). A pitcher can pitch a maximum of 6 innings for the tournament.
•No balks will be called but the umpire will make the pitcher aware if it happens.
•10 defensive players in the field (4 outfielders)
•All players must bat and substitutions in the field can happen freely.
•A maximum of 4 warm-up pitches per half inning to keep the games on time.
•Bases will be 60 feet.
•Pitching rubber will be at 46 feet.
•Courtesy runner is allowed for the current catcher at any time. The courtesy runner will be the last player in your lineup who made an out.
•No metal spikes.
•Runners should slide on all close plays.
•Catcher interference will be called and the batter will take their base.
•Bat Restrictions: Max diameter at the thickest part: 2 ¼” or less-unlimited weight differential
Max diameter at the thickest part: 2 1/2"-2 3/4"-with minus 10 weight differential with a BPF rating of 1.15 and the new USSSA stamp on the taper or stamped approved by Babe Ruth with the 1.15 BPF rating.
