Mowden Park Workplace Challenge Touch Rugby Festival

Saturday 18th April 2015

Darlington Mowden Park is inviting all workplaces that have signed up to the Tees Valley Workplace Challenge to participate in a Touch Rugby Festival at the Northern Echo Arena on Saturday 18th April 2015.

All teams will take part in matches from 11 am on the back pitches prior to the 1st XV home game against Old Albanians, kicking off at 3pm on the main Arena pitch. During half-time of this game, the two finalists will compete for the winning trophy in front of the crowd in the Arena.

All teams participating in the competition will receive free tickets to enjoy the 1st XV game on the 18th April (maximum of 10 per team).

Please can you confirm your workplaces attendance, by returning the slip below. I would appreciate it if you can do this by Friday 3rd April 2015.

Mowden Park Touch Rugby Festival

Saturday 18th April 2015

Timetable:

10.45am – Arrival (enter the club car park and turn left. Teams can park near to the Crossbar and walk to the pitches).

11 am – Two groups of five teams. Round robin format of games. The top two finishing teams will take part in the final at half time of the 1st XV game on the main Arena pitch. The 1st XV are playing Old Albanians.All equipment will be provided.

1.15 pm – The knockout stages of the competition will take place. The last games will be the semi-finals.Teams have an hour before the 1st XV game kicks off at 3pm. There are food outlets in the Arena should anyone wish to purchase teas/coffees or food. All teams will be given a free ticket to the game (maximum 10 per team).

3pm – 1st XV game kicks off.

3.40pm – Half time of the 1st XV game. The top two teams will play the final at half-time.

3.50pm – The second half of the 1st XV game will take place.

4.30pm – 1st XV game will end. Teams can have group photos with the 1st XV players at the end of the game – TBC.

After the 1st XV game, there is live music in the Crossbar for teams to continue their Mowden match day experience.
