HAVE A GREAT SUMMER!
We have enjoyed a fantastic year in Ballyclare Primary School with many wonderful special events having taken place and many good memories made.
Our Inspection in February was a highlight with the school, as a whole, being graded Very Good to Outstanding in all areas. Our Sports Teams and Music Groups had many wins and gained lots of praise. The Year Group Trips and learning experiences were so much a part of the highlights for our pupils. For those who truly engage with school life, school is a very positive and exciting experience.
Have a great summer everyone and rest well – we have another action packed year planned in 2015/16!
We wish all our P7 pupils God’s Richest Blessings as they leave us this evening to start their new schools in September.
Mrs Mulligan
FAREWELL …. FOR NOW
We thank Miss McAloon and Mrs Regan for their time with us in school this year and for all their dedicated work and effort. We wish them every blessing for the future.
P6 SUMMER REVISION PACKS
If you wish to avail of our free summer revision packs for P6 pupils moving next year to P7, please ensure you have replied to the note sent home with your child.
SAINSBURY VOUCHERS
Thank you for all your support to the scheme this year. We collected over 3000 vouchers which, together with those banked from last year, will enable us to get a wooden octagonal bench and table set. This will be ideal for our outdoor learning – look for this arriving in the Autumn term.
SCRIPTURE UNION
This year the SU club were collecting coins in old socks to donate to Stand By Me. The charity aims to transform the lives of some of the world’s most vulnerable children. The children in Ballyclare Primary Scripture Union raised an amazing £325! Thank you so much for your support.
PELICAN POST THANK YOU
Last Thursday you will remember your child brought home the Pelican Post Newsletter from the Northern Ireland Blood Transfusion Service which featured a story on the front page about one of our P4 pupils Rhys Boyd. Rhys' Mum Tracey and Dad Alaistair have been in touch with me expressing their thanks: "We would like to thank all Rhys' fellow pupils and their parents who took the time to read his story, it really means a lot to us and to the Northern Ireland Blood Transfusion Service as it is raising the awareness of donating blood. We have been overwhelmed at the lovely messages we have received from parents. So once again thank you all so much.’
MUSIC EXAM RESULTS
Wow! It has been another fantastic year for Music in Ballyclare Primary School. This year we had 20 children take Music exams ranging from grade 1 to Grade 4. I am delighted to report that all our children passed their exams with flying colours. The examiner commented on the enthusiasm of the children and the confidence they displayed in the exam room. He was delighted with their performances and really enjoyed his day. I would just like to thank our wonderful music teachers for all their guidance and tuition in preparation for the exams, but also to our fantastic children and their parents for putting in all the extra rehearsals and preparations for the day. Well done to you all!
Certificates are now available for collection at the school office.
