The search is on for a new Group Scout Leader (GSL) for Group Name> Scouts, and we need you to think about anyone you know who would thrive in this role!

■believes in developing young people and volunteers in your area?

The role

The GSL leads the Scout Group, supporting other volunteers to provide great Scouting either individually or as a role share. This person in partnership with the Group Chairman ensures that leaders are supported, the Group is well managed and that there is a plan for growth and development. This means that the Section Leaders can concentrate on planning and delivering fantastic Scouting to young people, knowing that someone is overseeing the management of the whole Group.

It is not necessary to have had a management role in Scouting before, as there is specific training for manager roles.

There are several ways in which you can contribute to the search for a GSL. If you feel you have the skills, ability, enthusiasm and motivation to fulfil the role of GSL please complete the Application Form at the end of the Volunteer Vacancy Pack and return it by <date>.
