The main goal of the Rainbow Tribe to support the integration of the disadvantaged youngsters through projects which are following the most important human values:
Support them to be active, participating members of a peaceful European society. And build a society where the sustainable living, natural consciousness is the start point of the human behaviour – atmosphere of thinking. The main target group (but not exclusively) are disadvantaged children under state care, but in the sake of integration also belong to the target group the youngster who live in family, young adults, and youth workers, too.
The Rainbow Tribe was born in the Children’s home in Velence, Hungary (2007) as an informal group. We found the association to support this community of youngsters which would like to be a big, long time cooperating tribe built up from Clans without borders. It means that all groups which we involve into our projects join to the Rainbow Tribe as a Clan (Red Clan, Red pearl Rustica Clan, White Falcon Clan etc.) We would like to develop this kind of network in Hungary and also in Europe to get our most important values through a really wide cooperation of youngsters!

Our office is in Kápolnásnyék. It is a small village 42 km far from Budapest, and 22 km far from Székesfehérvár. Our main activities are in the area of the Velencei lake (Velencei-tó). The lake and the hills give a nice nature and lot of possibilities for spare time activities: canoeing, swimming, bike tours or excursions, horse riding.
Goals:
1. Organise games, workshops for mentally handicap children who lives in Children's Home
2. Involve more and more youngsters in our activities from the schools which are in the area of the lake. Help them to live with the opportunities improved by the Erasmus +
3. Also important goal for our project that our volunteers develop their skills, get experiences and contacts which can be helpful in their life!
Tasks:
1. Weekly games, programs in the Children's Home in Velence.
2. Visit the schools of the area and invite the youngsters for different programs. (We planned méta championship which is a Hungarian game but we count with your creativity, too!)The point is to involve the youngsters.
3. Help on the archery trainings of th e Rainbow Tribe
4. Build a jurta camp.
5. Weekend camps or excursions with children (cook, games etc.)
6. Office work: keep contact with international partners, edit photos and videos. And if you have the motivation you can figure out an own project and application!
7. Manage our website, Facebook site
What you can learn and develope?
1. Communication in foreign language: both of our first volunteers arrived with a really minimal English (few word, sentences) but after the project both of them find job because of their English!! If you develop your English during this project the world will open for you!!
2. Skills how to deal with youngsters and disadvantaged youngsters: you can get to know their problems, your social sensitivity can be stronger. The work with youngsters teach a lot about the people, even about children when you will be father/mother.
3. Teach archery! As for sports, games, meditation!
4. You can learn ride a horse!!
5.You will have the opportunity to experience the great life of the young people in Budapest: you can meet youngsters from all the world! Your mentor's task will be to help you discover Budapest! In the future these contacts can help you all around in Europe
6. You can see how a civil organisation works, what kind of problems can have, and what results can reach. Maybe you will have own ideas on this field!
7. You can meet with the Hungarian culture - if you are enough brave you can learn one of the most difficult language in the world!

Expected skills and attitudes:
-enthusiasm
-be motivated
-open minded
-empathy
-good if you can ride a horse or can use the bow - but isn't necessary: you can learn here
-useful if you have digital skills: edit video, edit website etc. But isn't necessary.
-At least some English. The rest you can learn here!
- If you have handcraft skills can be very useful - but also isn't necessary
