SSAC Guide for Basketball

This document is designed to let you know what is expected of each coach as it pertains to the SID office here at the SSAC.

Preseason

  1. Make sure you are registered for admin access to the SSAC admin section, if not register for access.
  2. Register for admin access to the NAIA admin section. Each year the NAIA deletes all users and requires everyone to re-register.
  3. Enter your schedule and roster into the SSAC admin site.
  4. Fill out your “Coaching/Facilities Questionnaire” on the NAIA admin site.
  5. Fill out your “Preseason Questionnaire” on the NAIA admin site.
  6. Submit your Coaches preseason Coaches poll to Conference SID. Conference SID will let you know the due date for submitting (usually a couple of weeks before first games)
  7. Download the latest version of Dakstats and install it (each year they update the software so make sure you get a new version each year).

  8. Enter in your whole schedule and roster into your Dakstats software and websync it.

After Each Game

  1. Report scores to SSAC web site via the admin section
  2. Websync stats.

Weekly

  1. Submit a Player and Pitcher of the week on the NAIA admin site.
    Conference SID will inform you of when this starts.

One time task that need to be done

  1. Submit your SSAC All-Academic players to Dr. Cowan at Shorter.
    Due Date: Jan31st
    Qualifications
    Student must have a cumulative GPA of 3.25 and a sophomore or above in academic standing.
    Info and Items that must be sent to Dr. Cowan.
    Player Name
    Sport
    Transcripts form all colleges attended by student.
    Registrar needs to sign off on the GPA that has been computed. (Registrar computes the GPA based on all transcripts from all schools)
    Please make sure you have your roster on the SSAC web site, this is how we make sure the names are spelled correctly and assign them to the team.
    If the student qualifies for All-Academic then Dr. Cowan will make sure they are added to the All-Academic team.
