Trollhaugen’s 2nd Annual Dummy Jump Sunday March 21st2010

Come out Sunday, March 21st for Trollhaugen’s 2nd annual dummy jump. Each dummy entrant will receive up to 2 complimentary lift tickets for the day. Gift cards and Lift tickets will be awarded to winners.

Details:

First, form a team of like-minded, conniving friends or co-workers AND build a dummy. Remember, there will be children present- keep it reasonably clean. The dummies need to be delivered just outside of the Trollhaugen Ticket Office by 12pm on Sunday, March 21st. The dummies will be on display until 12:30 pm, when we start hauling them up the hill. The launching will start around 1:00. We will be launching the dummies off of a plowed ramp on Nissebakken, spectators are welcome.

Rules:

1) Only weight your dummy with things that can be packed back out of here. No gravel, dirt, sand, concrete, PAINT, etc.

2) No materials that release poisonous emissions or are burning can be used

3) No explosives or fireworks that "blow up" may be used.

4) A brief description needs to be submitted with each entry at inspection.

Hints from last year:

1) Balance is key; make the dummy be able to withstand being pushed down the ramp

2) The heavier the better, while still being manageable by a person or two

3) Help clean up your dummy after the event; the staff will appreciate it.

4) Need to add weight without the mess?? – Add water or ice.

5) Don’t be boring – create a theme.
