Radnor High School Golf Team 2017

·  All physical & emergency forms must be turned in before trying out!!!

·  Physicals cannot be performed prior to June 1, 2017!!!

·  Medical forms can be obtained online from the RHS Athletics page.

·  PLAYERS MUST ATTEND ALL DAYS OF TRY-OUTS (14th – 17th) TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THE TEAM. The only exception to this would be participation in a sanctioned official tournament AND verbal consent from Coach Achenbach.

·  Exceptions to this will be made on a case by case basis and are up to the scrutiny of Coach Achenbach, Coach Krupp and Mike Friel (RHS Athletic Director).

·  Official Try-outs will be a 45-hole stroke play event for the boys and girls to be held at Turtle Creek Golf Course in Limerick, PA and Radnor Valley Country Club in Radnor, PA.

·  Players are responsible for their own transportation to and from the venues. If transportation is needed, please contact Coach Achenbach by August 9th.

·  The total cost for try-outs for the boys will be $70 (includes greens fee and lunch daily).

·  We will have a co-ed Boys’ & Girls’ team for the 2017 season with the maximum of 16 roster spots being filled by the lowest scoring boys and girls. The coaches reserve the ultimate right to use their judgment in who represents Radnor High School.

·  On Monday, August 14th at 3:00 PM, all prospective players will meet at Radnor Valley CC for the first 9 holes of try-outs. All afternoon activities will conclude by 7:00 PM. Forms will be collected, $70 greens fees will be collected (cash or check made out to Andy Achenbach) for Tuesday and Wednesday’s play at Turtle Creek.

·  On Tuesday, August 15th tee times for play at Turtle Creek will start at 8:00 AM. Additionally, at 3:00 PM, all prospective players will meet at Radnor Valley CC for 9 holes of try-outs.

·  On Wednesday, August 16th, tee times for play at Turtle Creek will again start at 8:00 AM.

·  Pairings and tee times will be distributed for Tuesday’s play upon conclusion of play on Monday and Wedneday’s upon conclusion of play on Tuesday. Pairings and tee times will also be posted to the RHS Golf Team webpage.

·  Matches (games) generally involve 8 players per school and are played over 9 holes.

·  Home matches are predominantly played at St. David’s Golf Club Radnor Valley Country Club. We will also be fortunate to use Aronimink & Gulph Mills over the course of the season.

·  Players are responsible for their own transportation to and from all home matches. To support this, carpools will be set up with the help of our Booster Club.

·  The season will run from August 14th to October 26th.

·  Team members are expected to be at ALL matches, practices, & team functions. Failure to notify Coach Achenbach or Krupp DIRECTLY could result in suspension or dismissal from the team.
