Regional Coordinator – Gauteng North X 2
The Wholesale and Retail Sector for Education and Training Authority (W&RSETA) seeks to employ a Regional Coordinator, who will report directly to the Regional Manager and be based at the Gauteng NorthRegional Office.
Key Performance Areas will include but not limited to the following:
- Capacitate Sector Specialists and internal SDF’s on completion of:
- Annexure II documents.
- The use of guides on scarce and critical skills.
- Capacitate training providers on the Indicium system.
- Visit companies in order to help them complete and submit Annexure II documents.
- Capacitate employers, training providers and service providers on skills development processes.
- Pre-approve compliant Annexure II documents on the Indicium as per the agreed deadlines.
- Conduct monitoring and verification visits on all relevant projects.
- Verify and submit all final documents for various projects to Head Office.
- Ensure successful implementation of Learnerships and Skills Programmes within the Region.
- Participate in the planning of various regional activities and events.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and organizational policies and procedures.
- Attend regional activities i.e. exhibitions, regional workshops, etc.
- Provide feedback reports to the Team Leader on regular basis & Regional Manager monthly.
- Address and resolve stakeholder queries timeously.
- Risk and issue management:Ensure that regional projects are well coordinated, managedefficientlyand effectively according to schedule and budget.
- Assist in the preparation for internal and external audits.
- Log, resolve or escalate issues that cannot be resolved at Coordinator level.
- Implement marketing and communication initiatives in the region.
- Perform any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
Minimum Requirements
- A three year tertiary qualification.
- 3 – 5 years related experience as a project coordinator / managing projects.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Competencies
- In depth knowledge and understanding of the NSDS, Skills Development Act and Skills Levies Act.
- Computer literacy - proficient in Ms Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Ms Project.
- Knowledge and understanding of SETA Management System (SMS) will be an advantage.
- Excellent presentation and report writing skills.
- Innovative and Creativity.
- Good customer orientation skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiating skills.
- Assertiveness and good communication skills (both verbal & written).
- Ability to network to increase stakeholder participation.
- Valid driver’s license and own reliable transport.
- Willingness and ability to travel within the GPN Region.
