1APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE

2REPORT OF THE MEETING HELD ON 14TH JUNE 2017

The report of the previous meeting was approved as an accurate account of the meeting.

3MATTERS ARISING

3a) Oakley Road – Keep Fit/Assault Course Two quotations had been received and circulated to Members of the Committee.

The preferred option was E Warrior Pod 3 from Streetscape totalling £7950 + VAT

Following a site visit to Oakley Road Playing Fields, to discuss the possibility of funding through Biffa, the Clerk is to advise the company of the type of equipment required and request an update on any progress.

4a Wicklow Close Several options were presented to the meeting. It was agreed to request a revised quotation from Wicksteed for the ground trampoline & mystical world – Unicorns Lair.

4CORRESPONDENCE

a) Tracy Eames & Emma Cooling – Dog Area Following a request for an area specifically for dogs, a few areas were mentioned, which included the former Coachmans Court Playarea, land between Butthole Lane and Countrymans Way and Spring Lane – the latter was the preferred option.

It was agreed that advice should be sought as to whether the area would be suitable, therefore, the Clerk agreed to seek further information.

5OTHER MATTERS

Skatepark As no S106 monies appear to be forthcoming for Adult & Youth Recreation, it was agreed to recommend that monies be specifically precepted towards improving the skatepark, to include a skate bowl.

In the meantime, the Clerk is to confirm with CBC that there is currently no S106 monies outstanding for Shepshed Town Council to spend.
