Project 1
Present a French famous person/artist
Instructions
- Students to choose from a list or make their own choices
- Pass out a list of required/optional sections, the desired length, and any other guidelines
- Students write up and turn in ppt presentations, posters
- Students make a presentation on their famous French person
Assessment
- Students to assess each other’s work through a written format or oral survey
- Teacher’s assessment
Customization
This project can be done by individual students, pairs, or groups
French/Spanish celebs: teacher should write on the list names of people famous in history, art, everyday life…
Sections/Elements: personal information including name, DOB, family situation, job, physical description, personality, impact on the community …
Length: beginners level 1-2 / intermediate level 3-4 / advanced level 5 (add tenses) To be adapted by teachers
Levels:
Beginners: Pass out a worksheet with section titles and have students do research and fill in the blanks.
Intermediates (2nd year) and advanced (3rd year): NC Level 3 to 5 Students work independently. Advanced : add tenses (DOB, childhood, future ambitions…)

Instructions : you need to do a project on a French celeb of your choice. You can work on your own or work in pairs.
Format : You can choose 2 forms of presenting your research : a powerpoint presentation or a poster. Remember, originality will get you more points!
