Finance & Budget Director Report

January 27, 2005

Committees

Finance & Budget began discussion on the RainyDawg Radio Evaluation. Excellent productive conversation. We came up with questions we want answered and have spearheaded a campus wide survey along with individual surveys to friends and classmates to gain student input on the matter. We are going to have a recommendation to the Board by February 10.

In addition, we talked about our timeline for getting the full budget recommendation to the Board. We are planning on having the budget to the Board on the April 21 meeting. Groups will begin coming to F&B on February 16 with committee deliberation starting March 9 or March 30. Next meeting is February 2 at 4:30pm in HUB 204M.

Special Appropriations approved four requests; one from the Catholic Newman Center ($174.00), one from Pi Sigma Alpha, Nu Center ($251.20), one from the Experimental Film Society ($314.00), and one from the Innocence Project Student Chapter ($700.00). Next meeting is January 31 at 4:30pm in HUB 204M.

I haven’t touched it this week. Supposedly the upload feature just stopped working all of a sudden so I should be troubleshooting that shortly. I’ve also got a few enhancements on the docket for this project, but those probably won’t be coming for a while.
