1. To confirm Minutes of Monthly Meeting of Cavan County Council held on 13 January 2014 . Miontuairiscĺ cruinnithe 13 Eanair 2014 a dhearbhu.
2. To note County Manager’s Orders.
3. Co-option of Mr. Noel Connell, Rathiever, Mountnugent, Co. Cavan to fill casual vacancy arising from the resignation of Councillor Grainne Brady.
4. To approve report in accordance with Part VIII of the Local Government
(Planning & Development) Regulations 2001 – 2008 in respect of the proposed development at Blacklion Enterprise Centre, Co. Cavan.
5. To note 2014 National Roads Grant Allocation in the sum of €4,306,888 from the National Roads Authority.
6. To note 2014 Non-National Roads Grant Allocation of €8,975,850 from the National Roads Authority.
7. 2014 Roadworks Programme.
8.(a) To note replies from Revenue Commissioners and Department of Finance regarding
payment of Local Property Tax (LPT) for 2014.
(b) To note reply from Vintners Federation of Ireland in respect of towns and villages.
(c) To note copy of letter sent by Pat the Cope Gallagher MEP to the Vice –President of the European Commission regarding height restrictions for the haulage industry.
(d) To note reply from Office of the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine regarding funding of the CAP Rural Development Fund on a 50/50 basis under the EU CAP Reform Package.
9. To approve attendance of members at the following:
(a) AMAI Spring Seminar to be held in Great Northern Hotel, Bundoran on 14 & 15 February.
(b) TJK Conferences Genealogy Conference to be held in Limerick from 21-23 February.
(c) Colmcille Winter School to be held in Gartan, Letterkenny from 21-23 February.
(d) Clare Tourist Council/Clare County Council 25th Annual Tourism Conference to be held in Falls Hotel, Ennistymon, Co. Clare on 21 & 22nd February.
(e) Boyne Valley Tourism Conference to be held in City North Hotel on 27 & 28 February.
(f) Ace Training Local Government Law Update 2014 to be held in Carlingford from 21-23 February.
(g) The Association of Irish Regions Annual Conference to be held in Kilronan Castle, Co. Roscommon on 28 February.

2. That Cavan County Council introduce Bye-Laws to prevent the Cllr. N. Smyth
abuse of alcohol in public areas in Bailieborough town and environs.
3. Calling on Cavan County Council to increase investment and attention Cllr. N. Smyth
to the rejuvenation of the Main Street in Bailieborough and update on
putting in place of Strategy Committee for the upgrading of Main Streets
in all towns in the County.
4, Calling on Cavan County Council to implement new safety measures Cllr. N. Smyth
at St. Ultan’s National School, Killinkere.
5. To request Saorview to upgrade their service in County Cavan. Cllr. S. Smith
6. Sewerage Scheme in Milltown village. Cllr. S. Smith
7. Footpaths in Cootehill town. Cllr. A. Boyle
8. That the Universal Social Charge be abandoned in order to facilitate Cllr. C. Boylan
job creation at local and national level.
9. That a Parking Levy be put on Multi-Nationals / Superstores per Cllr. C. Boylan
square metre on an annual basis in order to equalise town centre
charges and its effect on local businesses.

12.That Cavan County Council call on the Governor of the Central Cllr. J. O’Hare
Bank Patrick Honohan and the Minister for Finance Michael
Noonan to change the rules for fixed term and long term contract
workers to make it easier in accessing mortgages.
13.That the executive would update this Cavan County Council Cllr. S. McKiernan
meeting on the water mains renewal project in Bailieborough,
any issues encountered, time remaining until completion and
advise on the standard of road improvement and markings
planned to replace those damaged or worn away in the process.
14.That the executive would update this Cavan County Council Cllr. S. McKiernan
meeting on the number of parking tickets issued in the towns
of Bailieborough and Cootehill over the last 5 years and the
breakdown of reasons for same.
15.That the executive would update this meeting of Cavan County Cllr. S. McKiernan
Council on the number of vacant Council houses in the new
Bailieborough / Cootehill electoral area, the length of time so
vacant, the condition of said houses, the number of offers made
on these houses, the number of refusals and the reasons for same.
