This is a regular meeting of the Glen Ridge Board of Education. Adequate notice of this meetinghas been provided in that this Board notified the Glen Ridge Paper and the Star Ledger on May 9, 2011. Said notice was published in the Star Ledger on May 12, 2011 and the Glen Ridge Paper on May 19, 2011. The date, time, and location of this meeting were also emailed to all recipients of the annual schedule of the Board's meetings.

Accept the resignation of Jessica Iozzino, part-time aide at Forest Avenue School, effective August 25, 2011.

P-2 Leave of Absence

Approve a maternity leave of absence to Andrea Mikhail, 5th grade teacher at Ridgewood Avenue School, effective on or about November 28, 2011 through the remainder of the 2011-2012 school year. Ms. Mikhail will utilize her unused sick days as per the Master Agreement. Her anticipated return is September 2012.

a. Approve Greg Lane as the assistant boys lacrosse coach on guide 3 step 2 year 4 ($5,970) for the spring 2012 season.

b. Revise Jody Hackmeyer from a full stipend as the middle school yearbook advisor to (.5) on guide 4 step 3 year 6 ($2,685) for the 2011-2012 school year.

c. Approve Erika Taylor as a (.5) middle school yearbook advisor on guide 4 step 1 year 1($2,219) for the 2011-2012 school year.

Approve Evan Kozak as the district coordinator for theMSUNER (Montclair State University Educational Renewal) Program for the 2011-2012 school year for a stipend amount of $1,000 to be paid by MSUNER.

Approve the membership renewal in the Montclair State University Network for Educational Renewal (MSUNER) in the amount of $2,975.

C-2 Field Trip

Approve the National Art Honor Society/GT-AP students(grades 9-12) to visit the Storm King Outdoor Sculpture in New Windsor, NY on October 19, 2011 as per the attached. (Exhibit C-2)

C-3 Anti-Bullying Coordinator Training

Approve Dr. Mary Lynn DePierro to attend the District Anti-Bullying Coordinator and School Anti-Bullying Specialist Roles workshop (as mandated by the NJ Dept. of Education)being held at the Morris County Public Safety Training Academy in Parsippany, NJ on September 21, 2011.

b. Catherine McCarthy to attend the AP Statisticsworkshop being held at Hasbrouck Heights High School in Hasbrouck Heights, NJ on October 10, 2011 for a total cost of $188.61 ($180 registration plus $8.61 travel).

c. Diana Bendin and Charlene Reilly to attend the "Sustainability of Child Obesity Grants"workshop being held at RutgersUniversity in New Brunswick, NJ on September 16, 2011 for a total registration cost of $25 per person.

d. Michael Dancho to attend the AP Physics Bworkshop beingheld at Hasbrouck Heights High School in Hasbrouck Heights, NJ on October 10, 2011 for a total registration cost of $180.

e. Diana Bendin and Charlene Reilly to attend the 2011 Childhood Obesity Summit being held at the Robert Treat Hotel in Newark, NJ on October 14, 2011 for a total registration cost of $50 per person.

f. Caitlin Price to attend the AP Spanish Language workshop being held at Hasbrouck Heights High School in Hasbrouck Heights, NJ on October 10, 2011 for a total cost of $212.64 ($205 registration plus $7.64 travel).

g. Dr. John Mucciolo, Elisabeth Ginsburg, Winnie Boswell, Peter Caprio and John DuBuque to attend the New Jersey School Boards Convention being held in Atlantic City, NJ from October 24-26, 2011 for a total cost of $800 per person.

h. Alyssa DeSimone and Michael Donovan to attend the “Responsive Classroom Sampler” workshop being held at the NYC Seminar and Conference Center in New York City on November 18, 2011 for a total registration cost of $179 per person.

B-3Out-of-District Placements

Approve the out-of-district placements of student #13107 and student #14123to attendThe HolmsteadSchool for a total tuition cost of $45,182per studentfor the 2011-2012 school year. Transportation will be provided by the district.

B-4 AssistiveTechnology Services

Approve assistive technology services for student #13074 to be provided by Bergen County Special Servicesat a cost not to exceed $690.

B-5 Donations

Accept, with thanks, the following generous donations:

a.Cash donation of $10,000 from the Glen Ridge SCRIP program to be used toward mandated harassment, intimidation and bullying (HIB)training and materials.

b. Cash donation of $2,000 from the Glen Ridge Music Parents Association to be used toward the high school cafeteria video system. (Exhibit B-5.b)

c. Cash donation of $2,000 from the Glen Ridge Athletic Association to be used toward the high school cafeteria video system. (Exhibit B-5.c)
