Fifth Grade Mrs. Pargas
January 20, 2017
Memo
Social Studies: We will finish the Revolution and have our Test on Wednesday Jan 25th. The next chapter is about the Constitution.
Math: We had our test over decimals. Our next unit focuses on writing equations.
Science: We tested over Weather today. Space will start next week with a Moon phase chart that must be completed for one month. Students are responsible for looking at the moon each night, or looking up a picture online.
Reading: Our Civil Rights test will be Tuesday Jan. 31st. Study the book and booklet a little each night!! It is tough if you don’t know the vocab, people and events. It is too much to learn in one night! Then on to our next novel Call it Courage!
English: We are finishing our poetry unit with a poetry book. Information on how to order this is attached and due by Feb. 1. This will be a class book with two poems published from each student.
Spelling 20: dishonest, incomplete, imperfect, nonfiction, unequal, incorrect, dislike, nonstop, unsure, disagree, inactive, nonviolent, unbutton, impolite, disobey, impatient, nonsense, unknown, impossible, informal
