¨  Valid commercial driver’s license B air brake – P,S endorsements or able to obtain through training provided.

¨  Enjoy working with children

Job Description:

·  Shall exhibit safe driving habits at all times and operate the bus with safety of the passengers as the primary concern.

·  Shall conduct routine safety inspection of the bus before each run.

·  Shall check fluid and oil levels as required and fuel the bus as necessary.

·  Shall report all mechanical problems to the mechanic and cooperate with the mechanic in the diagnosis and prevention of mechanical problems.

·  Shall maintain a clean and safe environment within the bus.

·  Shall maintain records as required, including, but not limited to, the following: driver log, mileage log, bus rider lists.

·  Shall endeavor to maintain a dependable route schedule.

·  Shall report all accidents to the Transportation Supervisor and cooperate with the investigation of such accidents.

·  Shall be responsible for the discipline of students on the bus, and shall cooperate with building administrators and the Transportation Supervisor in resolving discipline problems.

·  Shall promote positive public relations with students, parents and other school personnel.

·  Shall maintain confidentiality for all school-related information.

·  Shall perform other duties as assigned by the Transportation Supervisor.
