  1. Academic:
  1. I passed M.B.B.S in 1981. I passed with honours in First class and University Fourth Rank. I studied M.B.B.S in Osmania Medical College, Osmania University, Hyderabad, and Andhra Pradesh.
  2. I joined M.D. (Paediatrics) in 1982. I Was University second rank holder in the Post Graduate entrance examination.
  3. Passed D.C.H. in 1984. I was the best outgoing student. I was awarded the Dr.Harishchandra Gold Medal for the highest Marks scored in D.C.H.
  4. I passed M.D. (Paediatrics) in 1985. I was awarded the MulukutlaAchyutaRamiah GoldMedal for the best outgoing student in M.D. (Paediatrics).
  5. I was one of the co-authors for a paper published in the Indian Pediatrics Journal titled “Consensus Recommendations on Immunation and IAP Immunization Time Table 2012”, Indian Pediatricsl Volume 49 – July 16, 2012.
  6. I was one of the co-authors for a paper titled “Prefilled Syringes Versus Vials: Impact on Vaccination Efficiencies and patient safety in Indian Market” Pediatric Infectious disease, xxx,(2013), 1-6.
  7. I have contributed to a chapter in the Text Book, “Advances in Pediatrics”, Jaypee Brothers, 2012, ISBN 978-93-5025-777-7, Pages 422-427.
  8. I was elected as the Fellow of the Indian Academy of Paediatrics, in view of my outstanding contributions to Paediatrics in the year 2002.
  9. I was elected as the Fellow of the College of General Practitioners, Hyderabad in the year 1993.
  1. Teaching Experience:
  1. I served as Assistant Professor of Paediatrics, at the Institute of Paediatrics and Child Health. I was in service from 1986 to 1997.The Institute of Paediatrics and Child Health, Niloufer Hospital, Hyderabad is one of the largest tertiary care Paediatric Hospitals in Andhra Pradesh and India. It is a premier recognized teaching institute for undergraduates and postgraduates. It is attached to the Osmania Medical College Hyderabad
  2. I was involved in teaching Undergraduates and Post graduates for 12 years. I was a popular teacher. I was a research guide to many Post Graduates. I was involved in the conduct of examinations for them.
  3. I left Government Service in 1997. I joined full time Private Practice. I’m the Chief Consultant and Head the Department of Paediatrics at Aditya Super SpecialityHospital, Hyderabad. Aditya Hospitals is one of the largest and the oldest MultispecialtyPaediatric Hospitals in Hyderabad. I Head the Department of Paediatrics in this Hospital. I was instrumental in starting D.N.B Courses at Aditya Hospital. We have a regular Post Graduate D.N.B. Training Programme in our Hospital. I’m in charge of designing and executing the teaching programme at this Hospital. We have four Paediatric registrars working along with me.
  4. I was the Central Zone Coordinator for Paediatric Advanced Life Support Courses (PALS) in India. We have trained more than one thousand paediatricians in PALS.
  5. I was the Member Immunization Committee Indian Academy of Paediatrics. I held this post for two terms (2008 -2009 and 2011 – 2012). The Immunization Committee (IAPCOI), is one of the prestigious committees of the Indian Academy of Paediatrics. It is involved in designing Immunisation Schedules for its members and is also a recommendatory body to the Government of India.
  6. I have been regularly giving Guest Lectures in Local, State and National Conferences. I have been on the faculty of the National Conferences consecutively since 1999.
  7. I have delivered the following Prestigious Orations: Dr.Y.R.Reddy Memorial Oration of the A.P.State chapter of the Indian Academy of Paediatrics in the year 2012, Pedicon 2010 Oration of the Twin Cities Branch of the Indian Academy of Pediatrics in the year 2012 and the Dr.Tuli Memorial Oration, of the Indian Medical Association, Hyderabad in the year 2005.
  8. I’m an active member of the Respiratory Chapter of the Indian Academy of Paediatrics. I was on the editorial board for the Prestigious Asthma Training Module (ATM Module). I’m a master trainer of the Asthma Training Module. I have participated as a faculty in more than a dozen courses all over India
  9. I was on the Editorial Board of the Indian Paediatrics(Journal of the Indian Academy of Paediatrics), Indian Journal of Practical Paediatrics, and Indian Journal of Paediatrics. I was the Chief Editor of the Pedivoice, the Journal of the A.P.State Chapter of the Indian Academy of Paediatrics.
  10. I was the National Convenor of the TIPPS Module (Training in Practical Paediatric Skills), for the Post Graduates. I coordinated in designing the module along with reputed faculty from all over India. We trained more than 300 Post graduates. We had more than six courses spread all over India.
  11. I’m a Master Trainer of the N.R.P Programme (Neonatal Resuscitation Programme) of the Indian Academy of Paediatrics.
  1. Organizational Experience:
  1. I was the Secretary of the Twin Cities Branch of the Indian Academy of Paediatrics for four consecutive years from 1996 to 2000.
  2. I was the Treasurer of the A.P.State Branch for the years 2004-2005.
  3. I was the Secretary of the A.P.State Branch of the Indian Academy of Paediatrics 2006-2007.
  4. I was the Vice President of the Twin Cities Branch of the Indian Academy of Paediatrics 2008.
  5. I was the President of the A.P.State Chapter of the Indian Academy of Paediatrics 2013.
  6. I was the National Executive member of the Indian Academy of Paediatrics 2008.
  7. I was the National Joint Secretary of Indian Academy of Paediatrics 2009.
  8. I was the Chief Organizing Secretary of the 47th National Conference of Paediatrics, Pedicon 2010, held at Hyderabad
  9. I was the Convenor and the Organizing Secretary for the First IAP-RCPCH CME at Hyderabad in January 2010.
  10. I was the Convenor and the Organizing Secretary for the IAP – AAP CME at Hyderabad in January 2010.
  11. I was the Organizing Secretary for more than 10 Local and State Level Paediatric Conferences.
  12. I was the National Secretary of the Respiratory Chapter of the Indian Academy of Paediatrics, 2013-2014.
  13. I was the core committee member for the Asia Pacific Paediatric Congress held at Hyderabad in 2016.
