The Braxton County Board of Education met in a special session on Wednesday, August 5,

2015 at 5:00 p.m. at the Board office. The followingmembers were present:

Kathy Parker, President(via phone)

Dave Hoover, Vice President

Van Carr

Jimmy Huffman

Elizabeth Stewart

Dave Hoover called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m.

Dave Hoover had a non-denominational prayer.

Elizabeth Stewartmoved and Van Carrseconded to approve the consent agenda items (Approval of July 27, 2015 Meeting Minutes, payment of bills, budget transfers and supplements, transportation request, permission to be released from Braxton County Schools to Attend Gilmer County Schools, permission to attend Braxton County Schools from Lewis County Schools).

Vote: Unanimous

Van Carr movedto convene into executive session under 6-9A-4 (2)(A) for personnel

and legal matters. Elizabeth Stewart seconded the motion.

Vote: Unanimous

The board convened into executive session 5:01 p.m.

Jimmy Huffmanmoved to reconvene into regular session. Kathy Parker seconded the motion. Vote: Unanimous

The board reconvened into regular session at 5:25 p.m.

Elizabeth Stewart moved and Kathy Parker seconded to approve the following employment/reassignments – Professional:

1. Cara Foster – Title 1 Teacher (Itinerant) Sutton Elementary School effective August 7,

2015

2. Tiffany Balis – 3rd Grade Teacher Little Birch Elementary School effective August 7, 2015

3. Rebecca Jones – Substitute School Psychologist effective August 7, 2015

4. Sue Ann White – 6th Grade Teacher Frametown Elementary effective August 7, 2015

5. Jennifer Knowles – Pre-School Special Needs/Head Start Home Base Teacher Little Birch
