MEMBERS PRESENT: Celeste Jaffe, Thomas Crouch and Arthur Duszyski
STAFF PRESENT: Larry Calloway (Indianapolis Department of Metropolitan Development) and Renea Rafala (Secretary)
COUNCIL PRESENT: none
Celeste Jaffe called the meeting to order at 7:03pm
APPROVAL OF MINUTES FROM SEPTEMBER 19, 2017:
The motion for approval was made by Thomas Crouch, seconded by Arthur Duszyski and passed with a 3-0 vote
SPECIAL REQUESTS, WAIVERS OR WITHDRAWALS:
None
OLD BUSINESS:
17LSV11 (12216 E 75th St)
Petitioner, Caleb Hart, and his representative, David Hart, presented the case for a Variance of Development Standards of the Consolidated and Subdivision Ordinance to allow an accessory structure to be used as mother in law quarters
Larry, DMD Marion County, recommends approval with commitment
William Anthony, City of Lawrence, via memo recommends approval with commitment
The Board voted and approved the petition with a 3-0 vote and the commitment that the petitioner will combine the parcels prior to applying for an ILP
NEW BUSINESS:
17LUV17 (4611 FRANKLIN RD)
Petitioner, Peter Walsh, presented the case for a Variance of Use of the Industrial Zoning Ordinance to allow general offices and religious meetings.
Larry, DMD Marion County, recommends approval
William Anthony, City of Lawrence DPW, recommends approval
The Board voted and approved the petition with a 3-0 vote and no additional commitments
17LUSV18 (10635 PENDLETON PIKE)
Petitioner, Michael Hutzler, presented the case for a Variance of Use and Development Standards of the Commercial Zoning Ordinance to allow for the parking of trucks for the use of furniture purchases and moving.
Larry, DMD Marion County, recommends approval with commitment
William, City of Lawrence DPW, recommends approval with commitment
The Board voted and approved the petition with a 3-0 vote and the following commitments:
1. The total number of trucks and trailers for rent shall be limited to six (6).
2. The truck and trailer rental shall be accessory to, related to or supportive of a business within this commercial center.
There being no other business before the board the meeting was adjourned at 7:50pm
