HOLIDAY WORLD SHOWS FANTASTIC SUCCESS!!!
As you know Donegal Town Community Chamber Ltd and A Taste of Donegal Food Festival were delighted to have been invited by Donegal Tourism Ltd to participate at the 2016 Holiday World Belfast and Dublin Event
A number of the Food Festival Committee volunteered to represent and promote DonegalTown and area at both of these events.
Mary Mc Gettigan and Patricia Callaghan attended Belfast, Chairperson Ernan Mc Gettigan along with Mary from A Taste of Donegal Food Festival attended the Dublin Show.
They were blown away by the amount of good will and enthusiasm shown by the visiting public at both shows towards DonegalTown and County.
Many of these had already been to Donegal and were simply just looking for any excuse to revisit, we talked about all the Hotels, Restaurants and Attractions in the area, most were already aware of the high standard and quality of Accommodation and Restaurants available. In fact most were very familiar with the names and location of all.
In Belfast we received a lot of queries RE: parking & facilities for Motor Homes, they particularly wanted to be located close to the town making it easy for them to avail of Hotels, Bars, Restaurants, Attractions and Shopping. Thankfully we were able to tell them about the available bays at The Gateway Lodge and also Caravan facilities close to the The Sandhouse Hotel & Marine Spa.
In Dublin the main query was how to get and how long it takes to reach us, we assured all there was now a good roads network in place and should only take about 2.5 hrs. to reach us, also for the Senior Citizens if they use their free bus passes and take the No. 30 bus they will arrive in the centre of DonegalTown.
