Leadership:

Directed outstanding program at St. Petersburg College, served as board member and president of national professional organizations, Suncoast Hospice, Pinellas Animal Foundation, and Delta Society. Member of Leadership Pinellas class of 1989. Appointed to national and regional accreditation committees. Co-chaired St. Petersburg College's re-affirmation of accreditation through the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. Selected to participate in St. Petersburg College's first Leadership Training cohort 2003-04. Volunteer State Data Lead at Organizing for Action Florida, 2013-14.

Innovation: Started the first veterinary technology distance education program in the United States in 1994, and in January of 2005 established the first baccalaureate degree in Veterinary Technology to be offered online, the 6th AVMA accredited baccalaureate degree in North America.

Management: Consultant, St. Petersburg College Collaborative Labs. Supervised up to 40 professional and paraprofessional faculty, managed budgets, managed animal colonies and the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee. Responsible for maintaining laboratory equipment and supplies for radiology, clinical pathology, dental and surgical suites. Coordinated with departments throughout the College for recruitment, advising, fund raising, conferences, technical support, curriculum and accreditation.
