CLINICAL MANAGER

POSITION SUMMARY

The Clinical Manageris responsible for supervision and oversight of YWCA sexual assault services, support groups, and counseling services.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum qualifications for skills, abilities, knowledge, experience, and education.
  • MontanaLicensure in social work, counseling, psychology, or related field least with at leastthree years of post-licensure experience and/or board-approved training in clinical supervision.
  • Supervisory experience required; clinical supervision experience preferred
  • Three years’ experience working with groups and providing clinical supervision.
  • Three years’ experience working withdomestic and/or sexual violence.
  • Training in evidence-based, trauma informed treatment models for adults who have experienced trauma.
  • Experience with and ability to diagnose, assess and devise short and long term treatment goals.
  • Ability to communicate respectfully and effectively with people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to work with people in an empowering, supportive, and constructive manner.
  • Must pass a background check designed to protect the interest of women and children served by the YWCA programs.

POSITION SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
CLINICAL SUPERVISION (3-8hrs/wk)
  • Provide clinical supervision, training, and expertise to the YWCA staff and volunteers, including in-services and case consultations as needed
  • Provide individual and group supervision to clinical interns and/or license-eligible graduates
COORDINATE AND SUPERVISE COUNSELING PROGRAM (5-8 hrs/wk)
  • Supervise and train graduate students to provide brief counseling to survivors of domestic and/or sexual violence
  • Provide directcounseling services toYWCA clients as needed
SEXUAL ASSAULT PROGRAM COORDINATION (5-8hrs/wk)
  • Provide training and supervision to YWCA Sexual Assault Advocates
  • Oversee the YWCA’s sexual assault response, ensuring an effective collaboration with the University of Montana Student Assault Resource Center (SARC) and the First Step Resource Center
  • Serve on the Just Response Multidisciplinary Team (MDT), including attendance at MDT team meetings, Sexual Assault Case Review meetings, and other meetings/committees as assigned.
  • Develop and implement appropriate policies and procedures for sexual assault response team.

SUPPORT GROUP PROGRAM COORDINATION (5-10 hrs/wk)
  • Train and supervise volunteer, intern, and staff group facilitators.
  • Coordinate curriculum and schedule for weekly, open support groups for adult survivors of domestic violence
  • Coordinate annual closed support group for adult sexual assault survivors, including outreach, recruitment, screening, and facilitation of the group.
  • Provide supervision to the Talking Circle lead facilitator
  • Collaborate with the Children’s Coordinator to develop curriculum for children’s groups
  • Develop and implement appropriate policies and procedures for support groups program.
GENERAL DUTIES
  • Attend weekly staff meetings
  • Attend Pathways, Planet Kids, and Transitional Housing team meetings/ as needed basis
  • Represent the YWCA in the community, including public speaking engagements
  • Alert supervisor and Executive Director, and others as appropriate, to areas of concern
  • Report incidents of child abuse to Child Protective Services, Director of Programs, and Executive Director
  • Adhere to YWCA policies and guidelines
  • Act as a responsible team member
  • Project a positive image of the YWCA, using effective public relations skills
  • Exhibit friendliness toward and consideration of clients, employees, volunteers and the general public
  • Demonstrate energy and enthusiasm for the work
  • Show competence as an information source about the YWCA and related Missoula agencies
  • Display an awareness of and ability to deal with diversity among people
  • Display a neat appearance and competent manner
  • Performs other job related duties as assigned

HOURS & COMPENSATION
Position is 25 hours/week. Some evening and weekend work required. Compensation is $27,000/year plus benefits.
