·  International College: With a master’s degree in Global Development & Peace you will be prepared to enter into a career in International Politics, Conflict Analysis and Resolution, Global Development or Risk Analysis and Management. Students in this program have the opportunity to study and work closely with highly respected professionals in the field, including career UN Officials, career foreign service officers and individuals with extensive NGO experience. Our students also complete a one semester internship abroad, and an extensive project documenting their efforts upon their return to the United States.

·  Division of Health Sciences: UB has a growing Division of Health Sciences committed to providing excellent degree programs in both standard and integrative medicine disciplines, including programs in Acupuncture, Chiropractic, Naturopathic Medicine, Human Nutrition, Dental Hygiene, and Physician Assistant studies. Our new Physician Assistant program at UB is the first PA program in the world with an integrative medicine component running through the entire curriculum and is offered in collaboration with St. Vincent’s Medical Center.

Scholarships, Work Study and On-Campus Jobs

·  Academic Merit Scholarships: Generous graduate scholarships, ranging from $3,000 - $5,000 per year, are available for qualified applicants to our graduate programs in Engineering, Business and Global Development & Peace. Coupled with our affordable graduate tuition cost ($675 per credit hour), these scholarships can represent a 30% to 50% savings in tuition. You will not find a private college or university on the east coast of the United States at a more affordable rate.

·  Work-On-Campus - In addition to the available funding via our scholarship program, co-ops, and internship positions, one third of all UB graduate students receive positions as Graduate Assistants (GA), Teaching Assistants (TA), or Research Assistants (RA), providing a full or partial tuition waiver for academic studies and, in many cases, additional monthly stipends. Between 300-400 on-campus jobs are also available for our students to supplement educational costs.

The “CTech IncUBator” is Fairfield County’s first and only university-based incubator for high-tech start-ups.

·  “New businesses will benefit from a full range of resources provided by the University and CI,” said Governor Jodi Rell of Connecticut. She added, “That includes access to mentors, UB research facilities and faculty, student interns and pro bono or discounted businesses advice from partner sponsors and access to potential funding resources.
