HOLLOWFORD CRITERIA GUIDELINES – “NOT CAST IN STONE”
APPLICANT / DETAIL – WHAT FOR / RECOMMENDED AMOUNT
INDIVIDUALS
Where possible, please apply on own behalf / Overseas experience – voluntary work etc / Up to £300
We aim to fund up to a maximum of 10 individuals to goabroad each year at the Trustees’ discretion
UK experience – (longer than 3 months) voluntary work etc / Up to £300
We aim to fund up to a maximum of 10 individuals in the UK each year – at the Trustees’ discretion
Short Trips in UK
(Less than 3 months) / Up to £75 with not more than 50% of total cost of trip
GROUPS
Where possible one application form per party /
  • UK Trips
/ Up to £50 per person depending on length of trip. Typically £15 per person for weekends and £50 for 5 days or over
  • Start Up Grants
/ Up to £400
EVENTS /
  • Concerts
  • Events
  • Outreach
/ Up to £400

UNFORTUNATELY, WE ARE NOT ABLE TO FUND:

*Repeat applications from an individual or the same group of young people for the same purpose.

*Musical instruments

*Costs towards formal qualifications/education (inclusive of fees for integral course trips)

*Activities where evangelism is the primary purpose

*Employment of youth or children’s workers

*Grants needed in retrospect of closing dates

*Grants to other Charitable Trusts (No trust to trust grants)

The meetings are usually two weeks after the deadlines for necessary administration purposes.

Please take note of the deadlines as indicated. The Trustees will always welcome feedback from applicants, but this is not essential.
