Next week is FCCLA Week! Family, Career and Community Leaders of America is your student organization that promotes personal growth and leadership here at LHS! To promote these ideas:
Monday - wear "Whatever Represents You" (within school dress code)
Tuesday - wear "Your FCCLA T-shirt or Red”

Then be prepared to participate in activities in the cafeteriaon Friday!

v  Any incoming 9th – 12th graders interested in trying out for Cheerleader or Mascot, please make plans for a Parent/Guardian to attend the One of Two Mandatory Meetings:

*Monday, February 13, 2017 at 6:30 pm in the LHS Cafeteria OR

*Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at 6:30 pm in the LHS Cafeteria

If you have any questions, please see Ms. Muil in room 111. **A Parent/Guardian MUST attend in order for the student to be eligible to try-out**

v  Think you have a cumulative grade point average of 90+/--, taken college prep or honors level courses -- wish to be considered for admission into the LG High School National Honor Society? Complete and return to the HS Office the NHS Consideration Form, found in the HS Office by 3:20 pm on Tuesday, February 28th, the consideration deadline.

v  Tuesday-Friday, February 7-10, 2017- Course Selection Sheets are due. Counselors and Administrators will pick up your registration sheet in your history class.

v  NHS is sponsoring a blood drive onWednesday, February 15thfrom8:30 until 2:00in the high school gym. Donors must be at least 17 years old and weigh at least 115 pounds. Sign up in room 216. Be sure to pick up a consent form and return it signed prior to the blood drive.

v  On Thursday, February 23 at lunchtime, a food truck will be outside the High School and students can eat free!

German Club will be selling Valentine heart messages, small balloons and bears for Valentine's Day. Beginning onThursday, February 9, 2017, please see any German Club members to place your order. Valentine messages will be delivered to their 7th period teacher onFebruary 14, 2017.

The Lady Leps Basketball Playoff Shirts have arrived. Please pick up from the Leopard Paw from 7:45 to 8:10 am. Any questions please see Ms. Morgan in Room 303. There are a few extra t-shirts available for sale.

v  Any student who has applied for Boys State, please remember to stop by the office to have a Principal sign your form before turning it in. Thanks.

v  ATTENTION ALL STUDENTS: Due to the busy-ness of spring extracurricular activities and the flu/cold epidemic as well as next week being the last week of the Fourth Six Weeks, the After School Testing Center box will be openMonday-Fridayfrom3:25 to 4:15 p.m. It will be a busy week so please be patient and do not procrastinate. Thank you!

SENIORS…

v  Attention ALL Senior Athletes: The All Sports Booster Club is requesting a photo(preferably a 4X6 or smaller)of all Senior Athletes. The photos will be used to make a placemat for the senior table at the sports banquet. Pictures will NOT be returned. Please bring the photos to the Leopard Paw from7:45-8:10 amor to Mrs. Morgan, Room 303. Deadline to bring a picture isApril 3, 8:10 am.If you have any questions please ask Mrs. Morgan (Room 303).There is an example of a placemat in her room.

v  Blinn College Preview Days - Preview Days allow prospective students and families to come see Blinn College. Students are able to meet with the various departments on campus and Blinn College Housing is open for viewing on the Brenham campus. Engineering students may opt to participate in a schedule designed specifically for them.

Brenham Campus: February 3 or March 10

Bryan Campus: February 24 or March 3

v  Seniors: Please stop by the library to sign the design for the signature shirt. Also, purchase your shirt in the library byFriday, February 17th. Shirts are $15.00 each for s-xl. $1.50 for each extra x.
