  • Good morning - it isFriday, May 12th.
  • Yearbooks will be passed out this week. If you preordered your book, you can pick it up todayduring Office Hours and Lunch in the bookroom in building 5A downstairs. We only ordered a limited number of extra books so if you didn’t preorder one, they will be served on a first come first serve basis. Seniors, juniors, sophomores and freshmen can buy them today.
  • The Volunteer training for community service hours is next week, May 18th at 12:00 in building 5, room 117.
  • Congratulations to the following students who won awards from the Annual Artist Workshop High School Art Exhibit: Merit Awards for Painting/Drawing: Katelyn Dabney, Ruby Nataupsky, Caroline Crawford; Merit Awards for Photography: Allyson Stocker, Emalee Payne, Tiffany Crosby; Merit Awards for Sculpture/Ceramics: Meaghan Flint, Madelyn Reaster, Caitlin Chiampou; Distinguished Artist Award for Painting/Drawing: Stephani Hill; Distinguished Artist Award for Photography: Kate Shif; Distinguished Artist Award for Sculpture/Ceramics: Annie Smith; Best of Show for Painting/Drawing: Karen Limbing; Best of Show for Photography: Emily Minton; Best of Show for Sculpture/Ceramics: Rowan Lewis. Their work can be seen on display until May 20th in the New Smyrna Beach Public Library.
  • Graduation Tickets and Parking Passes for graduation are on sale now through May 23 before and after school and during Office Hours and Lunch in the Activities Office, Room 2-116. Each ticket costs $3 and Parking Passes are $5. Cash or check only.
  • A reminder to all seniors to pick up their cap and gown from the Activities Office, room 2-116 as soon as possible and to pay your Senior Dues if you haven’t already.
  • The next Driver’s Education class runs July 5 – July 19 from 8 am to 3 pm. Applications are in the Guidance Office. First come, first serve on spots and when filled, all others will be put on a waiting list. Please have your learners permit with you when you pick up your application.
  • Attention all seniors! If you are attending a college or university next year, you are required to fill out a transcript release form in the Guidance office. If you are not 18, you will need to have the form signed by a parent guardian and returned to Guidance.

SPORTS

  • Congratulations to Steven Rose, Nazir Rodgers, Laike (lake) jowers, and Isaiah Niles for competing at special Olympics State Track over the weekend. They finished 7th in the entire state of Florida.
