What amount are you applying for?
Indicate the dollar value of the grant you are requesting (as explained in the grant category guidelines). Most grant categories specify a set amount for which you can apply. Other categories will specify a maximum amount that you can apply up to. It is your responsibility to know the grant amounts available for the category to which you are applying. Supply Support Material

What is support material and why does the Australia Council ask you to provide it?

Support material is material submitted with your EOI that is used to assess your proposal. It enables the assessors to gain an understanding of your project. Your support material should be your own work and the work of other key artists involved in the project, if applicable. Required support material must be submitted with this application by mail - in which case it must be POST-MARKED on or before the closing date (AEST).

Support material may or may not be required with your EOI. You will need to refer to the specific requirements for the grant you are applying for to find out if you need to supply it. If you are not sure what support material you need to submit, please refer to the grant category guidelines or contact the Australia Council before submitting your EOI.

Please ensure all support material is marked clearly with your full name and address and is supplied in a single package with your EOI. If you request the return of your support material, it will be posted to you after your EOI has been assessed. All other support material will be disposed of 45 days after the assessment.

Any material supplied in addition to the required support material will not be considered in the assessment of your EOI. You must adhere to item limits for support materials. If you do not, staff will select the first items up to the specified limit – for example, the first five pages of a script or the first three tracks of a CD.

Your EOI will be ineligible if you do not include the required support material with your submission.

Please note: The Australia Council requires you to give it a non-exclusive licence to reproduce, for grant assessment purposes only, support material for which you own copyright. If you submit support material for which you do not own copyright, you will need to obtain a non-exclusive licence from the copyright owner covering use of the material in your EOI and its reproduction by the Australia Council for grant assessment purposes.

What support material can be supplied after I have submitted my EOI?

Some grant categories may allow you to supply additional support material in the form of letters of confirmation from key artists, venues and co-funders after you have submitted your EOI provided it is submitted prior to the date stated in the letter that will be sent to you acknowledging receipt of this EOI.
