· Observed, assisted, and learned the ways of the school. Fully responsible for the full school day for a fifth grade class at a coeducational independent school for two weeks.
· Developed and implemented math, reading, and science lesson plans over the course of the semester, including a 4-week unit on the adventure genre
· Adapted lessons to meet the needs of each student
American Village Language Counselor, Aze, Les Bourrides, and Les Sentiers, France Summer 2010
· Taught as an English language teacher in an English immersion camp for French children in France.
· With no knowledge of French, had to use nontraditional tools to cultivate understanding in students. Gestures, skits, songs, and play-acting came together to encourage campers’ understanding and enjoyment.
