GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS

CLEAN CAMPUS: Green flag!

DISNEYLAND: Seniors, the deadline for the second payment of $100 was due last Friday to USA Student Travel-Lincoln, 5080 Robert J Mathews Parkway, El Dorado Hills, CA 95762. Any questions, please call USA Student Travel at (916) 939-6805. Remember, 3rd quarter eligibility determines if you can go to Disneyland (grades, absences, suspensions and tardies).

ASB ELECTIONS: Are you a GO GETTER? Do you have IDEAS and want to be HEARD? Consider running for an ASB Position in the Student Council. Positions and Petitions are available in the Activities Office and are due back TODAY by noon! Don't hesitate!! Be someone who makes a difference at LHS!

COUNSELOR APPRECIATION: National School Counseling week focuses public attention on the unique contribution of professional school counselors within U.S. school systems. We are most fortunate in Lincoln Unified to have school counselors who work with passion and integrity to provide the support necessary for all students to achieve at the highest level.

CONGRATULATIONS TO: Steven Hodges and Jackson Phipps, of the Robotics Club, for a1st Place in Robotics at the Engineering & Technology Day At Delta College, this past Weekend.

DRAMA: Lincoln High School Drama is pleased to announce the first of its student directed shows: "Drinking Habits", a laugh-out-loud farce directed by Arianna Harrold. Show dates are February 16-18 (Doors open at 6:30 pm Show starts at 7 pm) and February 19 (Doors open at 1:30 pm Show starts at 2 pm.) in the Blackbox Theater!

TOD ANTON SCHOLARSHIP: The 2017 Tod Anton Scholarship is now available. They are giving away four $500 scholarships. Deadline is March 6, 2017. Please check our Lincoln website or see Mrs. Hernandez at the Ed Planning Center for an application form.

SENIOR SCHOLARSHIPS: Local scholarships have arrived. (North Rotary, CA Retired Teachers plus many more.) If you're major in Education, engineering, business, please make sure you stop by the Ed Planning Center and sign up to receive the EPC Scholarship Newsletter.

SINGING VALENTINE GRAMS: Singing Valentine Grams! Would you like to have a special person that you adore serenaded or just embarrassed?Give someone you love the gift of live music on Valentine's Day!Tickets are on sale for $5.00 in front of the choir room (room 1201)until February 10th. Be sure to know your Valentine's 3rd or 4th period room number.

PTSA HONORARY SERVICE AWARD: Students can start submitting nominations for PTSA's Honorary Service Award. Applications will be available in the office and in Student Services Center. This is a chance for students to recognize staff, parents and their peers for the work they do for Lincoln High School.

SENIOR SPECIAL PTSA MEMBERSHIP DRIVE: Seniors if you are thinking about applying for the Tod Anton or the PTSA scholarships, you need to be a PTSA member. Take advantage of this special membership offer, so you have the opportunity to apply for these scholarships.

VALENTINE GRAMS: Love is in the Air!! The Freshmen Class is selling Valentine Grams on February 9 and 10! $1 for one or $5 for a ½ dozen bouquet or $10 for a dozen bouquet! You can send them to your BFFs, boyfriend, girlfriend, or favorite staff member! Look for our table outside of the Activities Office and in front of the school at lunch to get yours ordered!

TRACK & FIELD: This week begins the official start of the Track & Field season. Practices will begin at 3:30PM at the track. You must have your red card and blue clearance form attached to participate. If you like to run, jump, and/or throw, Track & Field is for you.

POWDER PUFF: Application packets will be available for players, coaches and cheerleaders on Wednesday, February 8 in the Activities Office.Team size is strictly limited to 60 players each and 7 coaches each so get your packets in early! First come, first served on number choice! They are due by Thursday, March 2 by noon unless the teams are filled first!!

SENIOR VS. STAFF DODGEBALL: The game will take place on Wednesday, March 1 at 5:30pm in the new gym.

WRESTLING: Help support your wrestling team. They have new spirit items available; please see Gloria Cajio in the Admin. Office.

MEN’S TENNIS: Men’s Tennis practice will begin on Monday, February 6th at the tennis courts at 2:15. Practices will run from 3:15 to 5:30pm Tuesday thru Friday.
