John “Jack” Sornsin (’50) and his wife, Barbara, celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. They were married February 2, 1957 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Fargo.

Dianne (Hoss) Myers (‘54) and her husband, Tracy, celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. They were married October 28, 1955, at Holy Spirit Church, Fargo.

Patricia (Schmitz) Willits (’56) and her husband, Richard Willits (’55) celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. They were married December 28, 1956.

Pat Larkin (‘59) and his wife, Sharon, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. They were married January 15, 1966, at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, West Fargo.

1960’s

Jim Dwyer (‘60) and his wife, Virginia, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. They were married February 5, 1966, at St. Leo’s Catholic Church, Casselton, ND.

Jackie (Kvamme) Cox (‘61) and her husband, John, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on July 25, 2015. They live in Fargo, also home to daughters Dawn Hendrickson, mom of two children, and Paula Ekman, whose three children have attended Shanley. They were both educators, and Jackie was a substitute at Shanley.

Joan (Gerberding) Cook (‘72) and her husband, Dale, celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary. They were married May 22, 1976, at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church on the 30th anniversary of Joan’s parents.

Kathy (Andring) Dablow (‘73) and her husband, Bob, celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary. They were married at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Moorhead on Aug. 16, 1975.

William Biwer (’87) and his wife, LeAnna, welcomed a son, Nathaniel John, on February 26, 2018.

Angie (Welle) Edinger (’98) was inducted into the Iowa State Hall of Fame on September 29, 2017. Welle is Iowa State's all-time leading scorer (2,149 points) and rebounder (1,209) in women's basketball. She was a three-time All-American from 2000 to 2002 and was most valuable player for the 2001 Big 12 Tournament.

Paige Blanchard (‘13) was recently selected by U.S. Sen. Heidi Heitkamp to serve as an intern in her Grand Forks office. Paige is a student at UND majoring in communications.

Private James D.R. Opitz (‘14) was one of 55 recruits in Training Platoon 2115 who recently graduated from basic training at the Marine Corps Recruit Depot in San Diego. Opitz was the prayer leader for the platoon and also served at Mass. He will now report to Camp Pendleton's Infantry Training Battalion.
